FX warranty is good.

Well had this happen to me after three years of shooting and it messed up two of my barrel inlets as well. The barrel indexing pin got mashed somehow.

Messed up my barrel inlet bad

Contacted FX for info about how to replace the pin. They got back to me the next day and said the pin could not be replaced and I would have to purchase a new rear block for $148. I figured that was not too bad of a price for all of the machining that that individual part requires. So, tried to order the pin and the two barrel inlets that got messed up as well. They asked me to send them a picture of the block because they needed the serial number.

Once again they got back to me, the very next day, and said they would replace the block under warranty but did not have the barrel inlets. I am at two months past the warranty period so that was kind of them to warranty the block out.

Then I went to airgun101 and to Ernest's shop in the 910airgun tuning and repairs area. He had upgraded barrel inlet units in stock so I ordered and I will be back in business soon.

Thanks Ernest for having these available.

FX has not been perfect in my dealings with them but they have always been honest and have straightened things out when they got messed up. I appreciate that very much.

Probably because of all the importation taxes and shipping rates going up. Sucks were not as close to the manufacturer as the UK.. But hey go warranties! LOL

I buy my parts from the UK and get them faster and cheaper without having to jump through the FX USA hoops. Pick your part online, add it to the shopping cart, pay and the part shows up in the mail about 8 days later. No phone tag, no emails, no multi step 1980s ordering process, just a modern business model done right. It's mind boggling why we can't get the same here in the USA.

It says a lot when a customer will go overseas when there is a distributor in their own country. What usually happens is a distribution area is protected by a no-sell policy, after the more local mismanaged distributor complains because someone else wants to provide the service they won't, which only protects the bad, and limits customer choices.

I'm about to sound like the biggest FX fanboy but to be honest, I've seen you post that a lot heavy, and to me, that's crazy. I have never had that issue getting parts or even o-ring kits from FX USA. I ordered some stuff for an impact a couple of months ago and an o-ring kit another time, and it took all of 4 days, give or take. When I talked to a tech, he said sometimes parts have to come from Sweden first, but luckily none of mine that I needed did. So I'm sure that takes an extra week or so. But I mean, hey, I'd rather get from the manufacturer than someone else. I learned that with cell phones, I used to always get CVS or even Walmart chargers. Nothing beats the apple chargers for my iPhone. It seems like you may have had some rough experiences in the early days of FX USA, but that's never been my experience with them the last year or two. I also haven't run into any help that FX USA techs weren't willing to do hell I even made a post about it cause a tech was able to spend like 45 minutes to an hour on the phone with me helping put my rifle together because I forgot how to do it (I am not the handiest person, damn dyslexia haha)

That's great and I'm glad they're improving but they still don't have modern shopping where you simply pick your part and pay. The last person I talked to there literally said "let me as my supervisor" to every question and still gave me wrong information. We only discussed ordering parts for my impact and I have never been rude or unkind to them on the telephone. I just want to purchase what I need without talking or interacting with anyone. I wish nothing but the best for them but for me at the moment their methods are behind the times.

I'll stop derailing the thread now. I know I come off like an ass in text and I can't paint the whole picture here. Doesn't matter if everyone else is happy though.
