Fx USA now shipping power plenum to owners.

Few weeks ago fx USA will tell you that you need to send in your gun to be install by a pro for $300. A week or so ago, a member said if you call fx USA and talk to a tech and tell them you know how to take the gun apart, he can authorized a power plenum to be ship to you. I just received a email from fx USA that you do not need to ship your gun to fx or Utah airguns or even call them. Cause most time you try to call, you never get through. I try calling fx USA over 10 times, I never got a hold of a person. So I emailed them and got a confirmation that you don't need to call them. Just email them and they will send you a order form. Fill it out and send it back and they will send you a invoice. You pay it and they ship it to you.

Warranty does have a monetary value. In some cases it may be worth up to the value of the gun. Would be advisable to confirm the details of the plenum self-install as far as the warranty is concerned. If anything goes wrong with the gun after the self-install I am pretty sure there won't be an arbitrator or an expert-testimony available to prove that your install had nothing to do with any potential failures.

So even if you can break-down and reassemble your gun with a blindfold on under intense firefight it may be advisable for newer guns with considerable warranty left to pay the $125 difference ($300-$175). Then again, can you place monetary value on the time spent waiting for the factory plenum-upgrade?

Hey ImpactX just to double check did you send your request for the new power plenum kit to [email protected] or fillout the contact form for under 'General Inquires' I sent my request to [email protected] but was not sure if that was the proper one. I did not get an email receipt or have a record of message in my sent email. I was wondering if I need to send the request again or maybe using their contact address does not give a message successively sent indication. Bill

Yes that is their email in the USA. You can either send in your gun or ask them that you want to buy the power plenum kit to install yourself. They usually reply back within a day or two. If you choose to let them install it. It is $300 plus they put you on a waiting list and said it can take 3 months or more till it get to yours. So I rather pay $175 and have them ship it to me to be install myself. Just tell them what you want. I just got words back from fx USA that they are out of stock on the plenum and it may take 2-3 weeks to get them in stock. Still it's better than waiting 3 months.

Ok, that clarified things, maybe a little....I wouldn't have known to check $300 box to get all the parts needed for me to do it myself. The $150 option just had two parts also. How do they know that my intentions are just for the parts to do it myself and not to send it in? It looks like Hmong and Dave might have clarified that for him up front.
