FX USA - Mavericks

FXUSA, when can we all expect to start getting our Mavericks? I Pre-Ordered one back in December and talked to the dealer yesterday only to hear that they have not received any since November and not expecting any for the next couple of weeks. Could y'all let us all who are waiting on these know when do you think you will be shipping Mavericks out to dealers? Thanks,

Trying to wait patiently

Hi Bob_Hux,

We have guns being brought in from Sweden every 2 weeks. We have some Mavericks coming in soon and heading out to our dealers across the US. With the Maverick release and the unprecedented demand (only growing every day), additional teams have been added to create more Mavericks to meet this demand. With more teams, this requires training; training takes time as we would not want to sacrifice quality for quantity. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Regards,
FX Airguns USA

My order went in 1/3 and I am very impatiently waiting at this point. I have my BJ Armada which keeps me somewhat happy. And it has been super cold lately so it isn't killing me to wait. But the weather is going to start getting nicer soon.....

@FX-USA could you even give us a rough estimate of how many Mavs are making it to the US every couple of weeks? I am sure most of us understand that with the "pandemic" supplies have been tough, but even a rough number would be nice to know.

I too placed an order beginning of January, but in February, canceled thinking I was going to get a different brand. Realizing that's not what I wanted to do, I placed another order which means I now lost my place in line LOL.

That's rough... I am currently in line too for a Maverick with UA.. That's like when you make an investment sell on a small gain and it goes to the moon... Like UGH whyyy.. That's the only comparison as far as disappointment I can think of if I lost my place in line... I haven't been waiting that long though.

The wait sucks but its definitely across the board. A guy posted 2 days ago or yesterday saying in France they are experiencing even worse than us with Daystate rifles (He didn't mention the waits for FX, I'm assuming its probably similar idk) . Firearms too, with everything going on the demand for rifles that can actually do some work from AG - FA are in the highest demand I have ever seen.

This is all too familiar with FX airguns. Although Fredrik may be very gifted when it comes to designing airguns, that is where his gift ends. How FX can continue to put out their drivel about having to hire more people, then train them, and then do it all again is beyond me. Unprecedented demand my glass. Does everyone remember the "power plenum"? And that just a simple tube for gosh sakes. This has been their mantra for the past 5 years. Come out with new models and then take forever to get them to market. Always blaming lack of resources, ie labor. We can build a car every 2 minutes off an assembly line, which is way more critical than an air rifle. Yet FX cannot, or simply does not want to invest in an assembly line process. Having one person make batches of parts for guns is so 1800's it's ridiculous. How about you actually go out and find someone who knows how an assembly process works, hire them, and then get the hell out of the way. Gun orders would start being filled overnight. It is truly disappointing in todays day and age that you have to wait 3-4 months to get an air gun that they immediately charge you for and then tell you to wait..... How did that all of sudden become acceptable. Pay me $1,500 plus and I will charge you immediately and not tell you when you can expect your product. FX USA is useless as well. They have no answers, put out slick videos to make you want to buy modifications only to find out it is not available and they have no idea when it will be. Purchased a Dreamline lite bottle and want to convert the stock. Good luck finding any parts for you to actually do what all the youtubers show you to be so easy to do. Unless you are one of the big dogs, you have no chance of getting anything out of them. Wake up FX. It's time to come into the 21st Century. It's way past time to put in an assembly line......

A lot of this is on the dealers to order the parts in advance. Like you said unless you're the "big dogs" you out of luck. I have ordered from Talon tunes, UA, Pyramid when it comes to certain items because they do the ordering and know to attempt to keep things in stock. OR I have called FX USA and asked to order spare parts, they have an inventory of items and if not they tell me we're gonna order it from Sweden then ship it to you. I know it's gonna take a couple of weeks but things have generally been on time. Shop around for dealers man not all dealers take the whole amount knowing the gun may not be in for a couple of months of back-ordering, and if its a good dealer they'll tell you "hey man, you are 14th in line." I used to work for a whole seller and its hard to tell a customer when their gun is going to be in cause they don't know what "place in line" you are in with the dealer. I used to have customers always asking hey when are we going to get this in Tuscon or Phx. I would stare at them like I have no idea, did the place you get it from order it form us are you on a wait list?? Lol.. I see a lot of guys blaming FX because the dealers are not ordering well in advance. Again I can't be 100% sure but I'm gonna assume its somewhat similar when items roll out they tell them, hey look you have to order in advance so we make sure you have enough. The dealer is probably like eh ill take 3-4 (again hypothetical) turns out they needed 10.. But a big guy ordered 200... so the smaller guys will get it as fast and best as possible. The really rough part is we have been in COVID I can tell you in most industries that importing they're all hurting. Demand has skyrocketed in Firearms, alcohol, it seems airguns and when the rest of the world spent months on lockdown poop was slow. Imagine an already high-demand industry I'm sure they're doubling in size at this rate it just takes time to catch up.. Actually, I think FX even mentioned this in THIS post.. They are literally doing what you suggested.. Hire people and train them.. Which is what they wrote above.

The parts to change styles on the dreamline arent really available yet. I dont know if they will ever be. I'd like th change from dreampup to dream tac but it's just not available. Caliber changes are usually on back order too.

FX : Just a heads up that the Dreamline change kits are on the market, we've just seen that many of the dealers have been slow to put up listings for them or order them from us. Just give your favorite dealer a call and get them to put an order in for one and we'll get you taken care of."

And this is just another quote where you can clearly see a lot of things not being available obviously besides guns are just a lack of ordering from a dealer...

I work with a Netherland company and at the start of COVID they literally didn't manufacture anything for months.. That really hurt our company as far as trying to source Raw materials so we could keep our factory running on the west coast and East coast. Not to mention I think we have a place in Malaysia and they are just now catching back up too.

Guys you need to take it easy a little bit, FX is one of the biggest innovators in PCP world and is everywhere can you notice almost every other day there is a new guy on this forum asking about FX guns, what about other forums or guys don't post and just read. Lately, there is a bunch of guys switching from PB to PCP and first they see is FX so that's what they want. As for me I buy whatever is in stock and try not to complain about it.

I am all for giving a manufacturer and a distributor the benefit of the doubt, BUT coming up on a 4 month wait and anyone is going to be impatient. I have been down this long wait road before with a suppressor for my PB. That was 9 months. But that wasn't an issue with the distributor or the manufacturer, but the government which we all know to be the slowest and most ineffective entity. As for this issue I have tried not to complain, I have asked a question here and there about them and been content to calmly wait. I do have my Armada to shoot so it isn't like I am out of luck in the shooting category. But others have brought up the point about piss poor planning on the part of both FX and the distributors. Having more stock on hand and a rock solid plan for getting manufacturing up and running at a high level BEFORE release would have been a good idea.

I am not trying to bash either FX or any of the distributors and I will continue to impatiently wait for mine to arrive.

No matter what this has NOTHING to do with the dealers. This is a constant theme with FX and Fredrick. This guy launches a brand new gun just before Christmas. Now it is no secret that FX airguns sell. So just like with a new car on the market, the Manufacturer makes sure they have plenty of stock to send to ALL their dealers PRIOR to releasing the news that a new car is available. Nope, not FX. We will announce first, send only limited guns in limited calibers to hundreds of dealers and see what happens. The usual recipe for disaster and that is probably the only thing they get right Every Single Time. You would think, with their previous track record with the Impact, that they would have 2-3 thousand guns ready to go out to all of the world for all markets. And as far as the dealers go, do you not think they are putting in the orders to FX? They take our money and I am sure they put their order in the same week if not the same day. Then they wait and wait and wait. And as anyone who knows, even a little about marketing, if the orders are coming in "more than expected" then you sure as poop send the dealers more than what they ordered so they can keep up with demand. Not FX. Again, Fredrick is clueless when it comes to manufacturing. Every site in the US that sells FX ALL show Pre-order. Nothing is in stock. This is not due to dealers not ordering. If you want to surprise your son or daughter with a FX gun, you better order it a year in advance because that is probably what it is going to take before you actually get it. So sad that this guy can't figure out, or hire someone that knows how to make guns in less than 3, 4, 5.... months.......

I see your point on some of this but in Bob_hux's other post (which is this very same post in general discussion) people wrote they got their guns fairly quickly from smaller dealers, in comparison to others' timelines.. too many of us JUST use the big-name dealers.. Shop around. They literally give us a WHOLE list of dealers.. Just call through the list there's nothing that seems to stop them from mailing guns.. I'm sure a lot of dealers are probably told hey man make sure you're preordering correctly.. How many mom and pop shops are like eh I just want to get a couple .. I saw this so much when I was a whole seller in Arizona. I would have an event at this guy's store like hey man order more than normal then I would say make sure you have enough so they come back and I bet they will.. And they won't. I don't know about FX USA but sometimes a manufacturer or importer in this regards may not be allowed to just hand over extra inventory I mean its still a business and clearly they can't give some dealer that only ordered 4 guns 10 guns when there are bigger dealers willing to order as much as they perceive they need.

The demand for the Maverick is beyond what FX are capable of handling. In order to ship as fast as they can, they are rushing the builds and skipping Quality Checks. The currently shipping Mavericks are poorly assembled and are notoriously leaking. I’ve received a new Maverick today and it has multiple air leaks, so I am shipping it back to the dealer. I do not want this airgun back until at least a 24 hour air check has been performed, with 0 air drop and 0 reg creep.

Are you shipping back to the dealer you purchased from or to FX USA?

Hey FX- USA - Don't you ever get tired of saying the same old crap every time you guys have a launch?? I mean, after 5+ years of same old same old, your statements really don't mean a thing. And as far as not sacrificing quality......refer to madmunki........another satisfied customer....
