FX Streamline, low power

Tested some RWS pellets yesterday and was less than impressed. Was shoothin the FX Streamline on medium power. Well, nothing grouped well except Super Points. They shot best overall. Figuring i was shooting them too fast, i tried the same pellets on low today....Super Points, Meister Kuglen, Hobby, Super Domes and Super H Points.

The Hobby and Meister Kuglen instantly went from over an inch for 5 shots at 25 yards to all touching ragged holes. I shoot off of shooting sticks, not a rock solid bench. The Super points continued to shoot small groups, some 5 shots looking like 2 or three. Common to see the pellet enter the previous hole. The Super Domes didnt shoot under an inch no matter what i did.

with the gun on low power and shooting really well, i took the 9 segment FX suppresser off. The gun snapped but wasnt loud at all and almost a foot shorter than what i usually run. As it is now, its the ideal indoor plinker or pest gun.

This gun never ceases to impress. Totally versatile and above all ACCURATE.

By the way, its a refreshing change to shoot low power. Quieter, more shots per fill and just plain fun. You can see the pellets fly through the scope. Some of the meister kuglen barely pierced the cardboard at 25 yards but i think they were hitting the edge of the trap as well. Plenty of power for the barn invading pigeon or rat. More than enough for my routine fly swatting with this gun.

I just got mine and have been mainly experimenting on high power before it gets cold. I also wanted it for shooting in the basement in the winter, so I will be using the low power. I am interested in the pellets you have found that work at short range on low. I have shot one 5 shot group on high at 45 yards with JSB 18s and got a 3/4" group off a rickety card table with the rifle over a family room pillow! Very impressed!

For 10 meters (basement) I'll try Hobby & Meister klugen, but what about H&N Diablo Sport or the JSB match (never hear much about them). Have you tried either of these on the low setting? I'm going to order some pellets from PA for winter use!

FYI on high power mine doesn't like the JSB 15.9s for some reason. By the way I can clearly see the JSB 18s on their way to the target 45 yards out

Okay I just shot 2 groups (and 2 groups only) with CPs at 11 yards on low power. .15 c-c for both groups. That is great fun. Uses no air, get to shoot right in my basement when its cold/windy out, get trigger time, etc. Plus premiers aren't expensive. My 11 yards is from target to muzzle end. I don't know if that is how you would actually measure or not. (It is actually 11 yards and one foot). I wonder if these match type pellets can improve that? I know they'd punch a cleaner hole. That might or might not be to my advantage. I am SO happy I got this gun!! Super quiet because I have a Weihrauch moderator

Jamie,

Have you been shooting from the magazine or single loading your Streamline? I have a single loader I have been using. I assumed it would be better since it has been on other PCPs, but I just got my best ever 10 meter group on low power using the mag. (Yes I moved my position as far as I could go to get 10 meters). With JSB 18s in the mag I got a .0925" C-C group. Looks like a single hole. Outside measures .03125. It's 25* out and snowing so it's nice to find a challenge like this. I only just tried this once and was so excited I had to post it. I will see if it continues.

HW100 sounds super accurate! That was on my short list before buying the Streamline. Did yo tune it down to 13 ft pounds? How many shots per fill now?

I shoot the streamer from the mag. Great shooting gun, no doubt about it, even on low power.

The HW is hands down THE most accurate pellet gun I have or have shot....when all is well with it.

This past week it started stringing shots and throwing fliers. I replaced the factory original belleville washers in the regulator. Upgraded the regulator gauge port plug (no more ball bearing to fish out or chase), cleaned the internals and put a fresh cote of Moly grease on the reg piston. Set the reg to 95 bar and the gun is shooting better than it ever has.

Three magazines, three small groups you can easily cover with a thumb tack at 25 yards. Im shooting JSB 10.4 at 770 fps for 13 ft lb energy. Totally amazing gun.
