FX Streamline

"rancho"I'm waiting for my proper scope mounts to come in, but I couldn't wait so I had some picatinny to weaver adapters and put on a set of the rings from SWFA that came with my classic. A bit too tall but I was able to shoot it. I got the laminate and added a belitta. Also added a picatinny rail so that I could put my bipod on it. Very light rifle. I sighted in at 30 yards and then was shooting egg shells at 45 yards with it. Setting is on high power. The magazine is a pain for sure. Mine is in 177

How do you like your SWFA scope? 10X? I'm waiting for my SWFA SS 10x42 with side focus. I had to return it for an exchange because they sent me the wrong model with the rear focus. I love that laminate stock by the way.

Thanks! I like the SWFA. I'm going to leave it on there if not for anything else but to learn how to use the turrets instead of the holdover/Kentucky windage method. I'm anxious to get some more pellets down range with it once I get some lower mounts as starling nesting season is right around the corner. The bipod is from "Big Green Blob" and is adequate. I've never shot with one and can see how they improve accuracy. Hopefully they will get some single shot trays in soon-the magazines are a pain. On the other hand, loading the magazine is the only thing that stops the flow of lead down range-it is fun to shoot and the huggett makes it very backyard friendly.

Put the scope on, shot a couple shots just to get the feel of it. Cleaned bore, very dirty, that is a good thing maybe someone really tested it. It is doing 870 fps for 18 grain jsb and 910 for 15.89. Sighted it in @ 53 yards. Here is the first two 11 shot groups groups I shot after sighting in. The one on the left is 15.89 and those on the right 18 . Both of these groups were fired as fast as I could get back on target. I am sure this rifle like my other two FX gun, will be able to shoot 1/2" or less groups @ 50 yards. I really like it, thought a little too short for me. I will add a 1.5" of length to the butt plate as I do most of my other rifles. I shot another 100 shots and no malfunction or any glitch. Not gonna leave this scope on it, as it is too big. Will need to add sling studs as I got it for hunting tree squirrels.

@K2zb , Do they test them before they ship? I bought half a dozen PCP rifles and always ask the dealer to shoot them to make sure they functioned well. They do, and even send me targets & fps of the few shots they shoot. That is not to say something could not happen to is afterwards. Waiting is a bummer, but they will get it straightened out.

Don't send it back yet. I had the same problem. If during some sort of adjustment that the trigger contacts the bottom of the guard, it will not allow the gun to cock. I noticed that when I loosened the stock screws that it would cock just fine. What was happening is that it was allowing just a bit more clearance so that when cocking, the trigger could move back. Once I realized this, I was able to reposition the trigger shoe up so that the trigger did not hit the trigger guard. Problem solved. It is very easy to check. You can see if it is clearing the trigger guard. You can also loosen the stock screws and see if that takes care of it. It took me longer to find the correct size hex key than it did to fix it.

Yes they test befor sending and I also got the slip of paper showing test.... .. there are two screws holding the stock to the mechanics. I Had the stock off and the onlly screw thad could be moved to engage the triger was plalyed with while talking to AOA. Thanks alll for teplies. I will be receiving the a return sticker for UPS in the morning. NJ to AZ and back again 3 weeks. Glad it's still winter.

I'm on board and back ordered. Getting a 177 for private backyard use. This will be my 4th FX, and first PCP in 177. Don't want to make much noise plinking at spinners.
hoping it's quieter than my Crosman 22xx, those are fine noise wise in my neighborhood. Image medium power will be my preferred setting. Any velocity estimates in 177? I have some CPLS and it may want heavies.

Was just in AOA yesterday and got to hold a Streamline. WOW! well balanced and very light. The wood looked incredible. This is quite a value! GREAT first or second rifle. The industry is getting the message that we want regulated rifles. A welcome change and awesome responce from FX. I just ordered a .25 Marauder and in the process of modding it up. Had this rifle came out sooner, I think I would have gone with the Streamline. It is several lbs lighter. Nice rifle! Be sure to caught Matt Dubber's reviews.
