FX Smooth Twist and Slugs (rethinking an FX Purchase)

Hi Drumsnguns. I may have already mentioned this so sorry if I’m repeating myself.
You can get a whole new trigger block for your early Impact. You would need to price one there in the States and it might not be worth it to you. I did mine and it was quite straight forward to swap them over.
You will of course also have to buy the new regulator and housing.
Dont quote me on this but I think you would manage it for around $300US.
You’ll also then have the updates they made to improve the trigger.

Why not just get the new regulator? Is that different also? So you would need to get the new trigger block and then the new regulator? Because why, does the new regulator will now set higher than 150 bar the gen one is limited to? How high? I have a gen1 Impact and am always trying to get more power to shoot slugs. I am currently having a Lothar Walthar barrel fitted to my Impact, maybe 30" long for extra velocity. We shall see when I have a few more answers. I also run it on helium. So basically with the stock smooth twist I can't shoot diablo's because it's too fast and I can't shoot slugs because it's not designed for slugs. Ergo, the need for the rifled non choked barrel. But back to the gen2 regulator, can you really set it higher than 150 bar, and where did you find this out? This is the first I have heard about it.

This is very interesting topic to read and follows. Just I saw a listing on Utah airguns selling .22 cal slug impact x custom made on their website now. Me too is considering either getting an impact x .30 cal and wait for slug barrel kit with larger mag or texan ss .30 cal single shooter with wider pellets or slugs choices. I can't decide yet...🤔
