FX Slugs vs JSB .22

Has anyone done a side by side comparison of FX slugs and JSB .22 18 gr pellets? Specifically if no changes to the reg setting and with out slug liners. I would like to be able to switch back and forth between the two but not sure if that works. For 90% of my shooting JSBs are great. The question is does it make sense to keep some FX slugs around for when I need them (long shots, windy days or when I need extra killing power).

I am considering the possibility of using both slugs and pellets in one gun - only "thinking" about it at the moment because I don't have my new gun yet so this is speculation...

I think that to pull off the double-duty the weights of the pellets and slugs will need to be reasonably similar e.g. 22 gr vs 18 gr might be a reasonable match. If the gun is tuned for heavier slugs then RD Monsters may work out. Having a means to (repeatedly) select different power levels when switching back and forth between types may make it workable.

Curious myself because I would be looking at FX slugs and JSB .22 18 gr pellets as well - would like to see what people have tried.

The POI is different I have to go up .5 mil and .6 mil to the right.

Streamline 18gr at 853 fps Hybrids 770,

holdover at 75yrds 18gr 2.7 Hybrids 3.1

Most of my shots are less than 40 yrds so I'm really liking the Hades but the Hybrids are mean on squirrels

That is exactly the kind of information I was looking for. Very helpful and encouraging. Perhaps we can get folks to start creating a database with gun, pellet and slug FPS, 100 yd group size and drop. Guess I will have to get some slugs and do my part. Stay tuned.
