FX Slug liner accuracy?

Glad to see this thread because I have been thinking of getting into slugs. However my longest shots at my three permissions are about 80 yards and I can make those with my impact 500mm barrel if it is not too windy, so the only reason I would need slugs would be for crows. 

1:18 600 mm slug liner, 2MOA + on 100 yards ... not a complaint! on all slugs I test it..., speeds 1000fps to 900fps 22.5gn to 33gn 0.22. The pellet liner on the other hand (still testing, but moa or submoa in some), 700mm 1:16 slug liner soon (next week probably)

over 800 slugs tested on the 1:18

19gn, 21gn, 22.5gn, 23gn and 24 gn none of them where less than 1 inch @ 50y, waiting for fire lapping kit to see if there is any improvement, but probably I will use that liner as a straw for drinks!

But the pellet liner 1:19 is getting awesome results on slugs, and you sluggers are right, once you shoot slugs accurate, is hard to go back to pellets!

I called Utah airguns and talked slugs with them and they said that the Nielsen 27 grain is the most accurate out of fx slug liners. Has anybody tried them?

I've yet to shoot my slug liner 500mm in my Wildcat .22. One thing I can say it's so much smaller than the pellet liner it's very hard to push slugs through. I'm getting a lower FPS over the chrony with the slug liner too. The pellet liner does great with slugs and pellets at 50 yards. For the first time ever in tuning a gun that I have run out of hammer spring tension. The slug liner choke is so tight I think it's holding back both pellets and slugs?

I'm excited that I just purchased my Impact and it should be shipped this week. I see Utah air advertising that they have some slug liners in stock today (.22 & .25). Do all of the new liners come in the 1:16. I see Edosan isn't that impressed with the 1:18, do all of the new liners come in 1:16?

Since I turned my regulator up to 160 BAR and continued my testing, I have gotten some really good groups with the Nielsen 36gr and 39gr. It's been very windy the past couple of days out here in California but I'm hoping it will calm down the next few days. Even in the wind, I had a 5 shot group at 50yds with three holes touching and about 1/4" away, the other two holes touching. This testing has been so fickle but these 36 and 39gr Nielsen's look promising!

Ws really interested in the slug liner. I just am not convinced that my Gen 1 Impact .25 will have enough umph to get pellets to a high enough speed for accuracy. Would need a high pressure reg and then a heavier hammer etc ....just doesn't look promising. Time to look at a newer rifle in the FX line?

Yeah the Impact MKII looks cool , but that'll have to wait, though...really got clobbered with taxes this year. 

My gen1 is really shooting good right now with JSB MKII 34gn out of the "A" Liner. But I think slugs would be a lot of fun. Might talk with FX or one of the Retailers to see what I might be able to do. But I think I'd have to go with a 700mm to help with extra fps and I went with a 600 for the A Liner. Doesn't pay to be cheap....D'Oh!

By the time I tally it all up I might as well get a MKII Impact.

Have you tried 19 or 21gr slugs in the 1:18 liner?

They may not give great results due to being very short, but the lighter weight slugs might be better suited for a slower twist rate.

What I need to do is test that liner with heavy slugs, maybe that will make a difference (I will)
