FX scope mounts for a Springer??.. Hawke scope

I'm very iffy with putting a adjustable scope mount on my springer due to the nasty recoil and the break action, I have a Hawke scope coming in and the current scope I have on had some tinkering done to it to raise the back mount up a 1/8 of an inch. After doing that the gun was on for a while and everything went smoothly until the scope started to move and came close on cracking due to downward pressure.

I do plan on getting a PCP just trying to find one that would fit my expectations, so I would be moving the Hawke onto the PCP when that happens.

Have you considered a "droop compensator" scope mount? I've had good luck with the RWS Lockdown (one piece scope mount with 20 degrees compensation) and the UTG Dove tail to Weaver mount (10 degrees comp). Both attach pretty solidly to a dove tail mount, and have stop pins installed.

The Lock Down is available for 1 inch and 30mm tubes. The UTG uses whatever Weaver rings you buy. Both mounts add a little height, but the UTG mount with low rings is what I use.
