FX Royale 500 Performance

I'm new to FX products and just picked up a new regulated FX Royale 500.

There is less than 250 pellets through the rifle but I thought I would take advantage of the mild 32F weather to shoot some strings over the Chrony.

With JSB 33.95s I am getting an average across 8 strings of L 763; H 783; A 774; ES 19.5; SD 6.17. I was expecting an ES less than this but think that would improve as the rifle breaks in.

I would appreciate any comments as I have no idea if these numbers are high, low or typical for a new regulated FX.

Thanks,
Hank

An extreme spread of 20 is really good!! Especially from a new gun. Wait until you have more shots through the gun to let the regulator really settle in and try to chrony it again if you want. FX regulators typically have very consistent performance. Here are the results from the Royale 500 I have.

4 consecutive 5 shot groups at 50 yards with JSB 25 grain. The groups at the top of the picture are a different pellet. The JSB heavies, I think.

Thanks Cliff!!! I appreciate the feed-back! Figured that I was being a bit premature with the Chrony but mild days are few and far between at this time of year!

Tomnico, I shot one string of the 25s and averaged 901 fps with an ES of 16.6 so it looks like all is good. Thank you for posting that info for me!

Great, now I can relax and (impatiently) wait for decent shooting weather.
