FX Royale 500 & FX Boss

I own a Royale 500 & Boss, .25 & .30 cal. respectively. Bought the Royale new from UA a couple summers ago & the Boss, used, a few months back. I'm putting on average 50 pellets a week through each hunting. Not much straight range time to speak of. Both guns are a dream accuracy wise, mechanically, quietness, etc. I'm finding so little info on gun maintenance for these in this forum & even on Ernest's Master Class vids. Have never had either one apart, done any adjusting, never done ANYTHING but load, shoot, lube & clean once in a while. Should I be doing something on a regular basis or "if it ain't broke, don't futz wit it"? They are so trouble & adjustment free & RELIABLE. Is that why there's so few posts or am I missing something? I just want to keep them in the best functioning condition possible. REALLY LOVE THESE & WOULD NOT SELL OR TRADE 'em, YET. Please advise, someone who knows. THANKS

I have a Royale 400, same experience, just load and shoot. Totally reliable and very accurate. These rifles are becoming more removed from the current FX business model of pure innovation, and I fear they may not be around too much longer. I had a Crown, interesting rifle, but I sold it. I wouldn't trade my Royale for any other rifle FX makes. Sometimes I wonder if they pay their designers for the most parts they can put in a rifle! I like the Chick-fil-A model, do something simple, but do it well.

I just picked a up a nice used Boss and I like it so well, I'm wondering if I should be on the hunt for a FX 500 before they become hard to find?

I say if it isn't broke don't fix it, I have 3 fx rifles to include a boss and all 3 have been trouble free. They are all three original smooth twist I did put a huma reg in my impact because it is a better made reg than original factory but other than that I haven't changed an O ring in any of them. I have lost count of the tins of pellets I have put through them.

Hope you enjoy it and are as impressed as all who've posted on this subject. GREAT gun, excited & happy for you. Let me know what you think when she's broken in! If you decide to get extra magazines DON'T pay FX prices. I've gotten 4 from a guy who fabricated them from aircraft aluminium & they're HALF the price, $29.99! Works flawlessly, they just wind CLOCKWISE for the 1st pellet as opposed to FX's COUNTERCLOCKWISE.
