FX ROYALE 400 MAINTENANCE

First an advise, Dont fix something that is not broken.
I am not sure but in Royale 400 there are only few o-rings. At the Vale area, power adjustment wheel, at air inlet, and breach o-ring. These are very simple to replace. There is a video by airguns of arizone where they replace the breach o-ring of a Fx Wildcat, same is the procedure for the Royale. Search the Youtube and you will find your required information.

"chiro972b"So it is necessary to remove the barrel on a Royale to replace the breech o ring right?
The O-ring which sits a very short distance inside the breech end of the barrel is easily replaced without removing the barrel. Insert a wood dowel in the barrel just behind the O-ring, remove the old ring with a dental pick or pin and carefully insert the new ring while insuring the dowel stays just behind the groove. The new ring will pop into place. It might take you a few attempts to master the technique, be patient.

Hi, I have a FX Royale 500. Today morning I fired around 10 shots from full magazine and when I tried to cock the rifle for the 11th pellet the lever is stuck in midway position and dosent move backwards. It moves enough to let the magazine rotate and let the next pellet come in line. I have two pellets that I loaded this way but the gun dosent fire. I have now safely removed the barrel with pellets and killed the pressure by removing the bottle but the lever is still stuck and I cant remove the magazine also. Pleae advise.

I don't think you need to disassemble the block. The same thing happened on my first Royale 500 a few years ago and it turns out all I needed to do was tighten the allen screw on top of the breech block. IIRC, I think the action needed to be open or something. By open, all I mean is that the side lever needed to be pulled back. I'm not really sure because it was so long ago but I remember being surprised at how simple of a fix it was. I think it you play with it a bit you'll probably be able to get it going again.

Good luck with the fix, let us know if it works.

Thanks a lot for the good advise. I removed the trigger mechanism and by looking through the slot I found that a metallic strip was stuck between the spring guide and its housing. I pulled gently on the strip and it came out with a little effort. The strip appears to be a half "C" shaped portion of a metallic washer, but I have not found the other half of the washer.

After removing the broken washer all other parts are working fine. Should I assemble the gun without the washer as I cant find any place for it in the gun. Also can you please guide me on how to assemble the trigger please.

Best regards

That C-shaped piece is most likely the thin, hardened washer that sets on the adjuster end of the hammer spring. Or I should say, it is what's left of that washer. Contact AoA and tell them you need the washer. Or you can use any hardened washer of the correct dimensions. Diff shims from RC cars or trucks work well. If you are familiar with the hammer spring assembly, the washer is easy to replace.
