FX Royale 400 fill pressure question

Hello all,

I have a newer FX Royale 400 in 22 with the CF bottle and I'm seeing conflicting info on the fill pressure. The gun has 220 bar printed on the receiver but Airgun Depot (where I bought it from) lists it as a 250 bar fill pressure. Does anyone know what the fill pressure really is or even what the best fill pressure to use would be? Right now after getting it back from AoA on a warranty repair to replace the regulator they tuned it to shoot the JSB Heavy 18.1g at around 925 fps and I've been filling to 220 bar.

Thanks all

Gary

It can take 250 bar without problems if it is regulated.
The receivers are all the same, whether regulated or not, hence the 220 bar print.
If you fill to the max. SWP of the bottle (500cc alu 250 bar/ 400cc alu 232 bar / 480cc CF 250 bar) on a non regulated gun, your hammer gets difficulties to open the valve, which is not good for a nice shot string.
Because the air pressure on the valve is always the same for a regulated gun, you can fill it upto the max. SWP of the bottle you have installed.
The FX Boss can be filled to 250bar as well, and it has the same regulator as a Royale.
Summary, your regulated Royale can be filled to 250bar without issues with the CF bottle installed.
