Fx royal 500 pellet speed.

Hi. I bought a fx royal 500 used and without regulator. And when i got it and tuned the hammer spring i got velocity of 935 fps and 20fps spread with jsb kings 25gr. but could just shoot 3 mags befor it dropt to much out to 100 yards so i ordered a regulator and drilled and mounted it. And now i cant get over 885 fps. I have tryed to increase regulator setting to 155bar but o just get 5 fps. And if i increse hammerspring tension more it drops in fps. It was real accurate at 935 fps with kings. So i would like to get atleast 915 fps with kings. Anyone ho has any idea what i could do? Thanks.

"alpine84"Okey. I order one today. It cant be worse i tryed the heavy mk2 yester day. And they just spiral because its to slow
Good idea, mine is currently running at about 900fps with king heavies :)
You might need to increase the regulator pressure even a bit more to achieve 900fps. Just play around with the settings to find out what it likes best.

I found with the reg set to 150 and HST about one turn from bottomed out I get about 890 with the heavies and that would be high 900's with the kings. Like other's have said you probably have the smaller valve and seat, with the SHP valve and seat you should get similar.

Make sure you order SHP valvepin complete and the seat for it, the two part numbers Menttalist mentioned.

The “Elite” valve I believe is the item that is being referred. If all these ideas fail to impress. An enlarged transfer port my be in order.
My Royale was a MK1 and was one of the first to get the Regulator added. I wanted 50ft pounds of energy. AOA called Frederick in Sweden and he coached them through the upgrade. Needless to say, they started charging more money to do the job after my gun was completed for others.
I shoot mine now at 900 fps 25 grain JSB. The recoil and muzzle flip and noise is way less. Not as hold sensitive either.
