I got my FX Radar today delivered to my PO Box. When I opened the box I thought the Kraford and Lypt single shot loader was included but they forgot to mail my FX Radar. I thought, no way that thing would fit in my PO Box. I opened the Priority box and it was indeed inside. To my surprise it is only 2.75"x2.75"x1.75". It's a lot smaller than I had imagined even though I heard it was small and had seen videos. Anyway, set up was super easy…download the App to your phone, turn on your phones Bluetooth, link it up and start shooting. I tested it with my old chronograph and the velocities were the same, occasionally off by 1fps. I also like that it tells me the speed of my slug aloud, so I don't have to look over after every shot. The small size is what makes it a winner for me though. So convenient and easy!

Fuss – I know a lot of people are turned off by the price but in the big scheme of things, it's nothing compared to all the other high ticket items we buy! Plus, this is a radar that talks to you in a sweet British accent, that's what I chose anyway! And… it works on overcast days, in the deep shade and at dusk! Maybe I'm just excited I never have to carry around those 4 steel rods anymore!  Stoti

Haha, yeah that British gal calling out the numbers is pretty sweet. I want Sofía Vergara's voice programmed into mine when I get one! LOL

Where did you purchase your FX Portable Radar and was there any promo code?  Same question for your mini Tripod.  Can you provide make and model for tripod?

Just watched the AG Depot video and this looks awesome.

Sofia’ Vergara – good suggestion, and with a video of Sofia calling out the stats right on your iPone or Android

    Thanks

I wonder if one day they might take a velocity reading at 2 or more distances so BC could be calculated?

Same company build it (donno China probably?) but is not the same, for starters the Paintball reads up to 500fps, so pretty useless for Airguns. in FX official release over here FX explain the difference.

It's useless without a new tech phone.

I believe I read the top speed that can be recorded was 1200 or 1300 FPS. So, it would work for handguns, but not rifles.

EDIT: Just checked FX's site and they do state 1300FPS and could work with powder burners up to that speed.

If you have the opportunity…Could you test it 'inside'? I shoot from inside a garage I built a 'workshop' in. So there is a ceiling, solid walls to the left and right and then a garage door 25ft in front (door is open when I'm shooting).

I like the form factor but don't want to spend the $ if it isn't gonna work for me. I'd love to get the chrony and the tripod out of the garage……
