FX Radar App - What enhancements would you expect?

When you open a saved shot string from the "Saves" screen, the fps data does not show up in chronological order. So, I'd like the app to save the shots in the correct sequence and to store the timestamps too.

How about you?

And, did anyone subscribe for the Beta releases in Google Play? I did a while ago but haven't seen any activity there yet. I'm wondering when they plan to release the next (official) version. Any clue?

Hello stephfx

Not sure I understand your concern

When I open shot strings from the saves file in the app I get a list of shots in the string showing: shot #, date & time of shot, & fps

The list is in reverse chronological order.

This feature has been active from my purchase date in September 2019

Current version on my i phone is v 1.4.39

I want it to register faster projectiles so I can buy one and also use it for my powderburners. Otherwise I need to buy another Shooting Chrony that works for both.

The software is not setup for faster projectiles. That can be changed But there may be a hardware limitation. The existing electronic circuit likely is not designed for much higher velocities.

Yes this small piece of hardware has limitations and will not be able to record speed at multiple distances.

@ SilentSquirrel - Hi. The issue with the chronological sequence is illustrated in the attached pdf. That was with my android phone (Samsung Galaxy). Maybe the iPhone does not have the same issue. This problem really bothers me because I want to know the correct sequence when I copy the data to Excel.

Understood stephfx

Now I see the problem you are having.

The i-phone clipboard works the same way.

Agreed !

It is pretty much useless because the FX data not only omits the shot # ,but also does not show any of the shooting profile (string name, pellet weight, fpe, etc,,,etc....)

When I log strings to Excel I do it manually.

It seems to me FX would have the technology to upgrade the software to accomplish complete data transfer to Excel

They just need the will to do it.

SilentSquirel,

I use Google Keep to transfer the shot string data to Excel. This is the easiest way for me, since Keep is available as a mobile app and from the web browser of my computer, and obviously Keep synchronizes automatically through Google's cloud. On the pc, you just copy/paste from Keep into your worksheet. Done. Just in a few seconds.

Hopefully Giles is still looking for comments that people make on the FX app and he will forward to the developer. That said, the Google App Store provides [email protected] as the email address of the developer. It'd cost me nothing to shoot them a quick email to inform them of this chronology/clipboard issue...
