FX power plenum fitting instructions

The external valve spring return is great design, different spring rate can tune Per caliber, installed in seconds without Entering the pressure boundary, light spring benefits the larger caliber. Use the old long spring used on the valve rod. 25-45 fps increase.

What kind of numbers are you seeing in .30 for high power with just the mk2/power plenum Ernest?

What pressure should we expect the regulator and at what line should the valve adjustment be near for 995-1000

Hi everyboby,

I installed my new power plenum. Everything went smoothly and seems fine. We're in the middle of the night here and I'll have to wait until tomorrow to test it.

I still have a little question, though. After fitting everything back on the gun, I was cleaning my table and found a part that I hadn't noticed while disassembling the gun. Can someone tell me what this is?

That is the nylon spacer tube that went inside of the original hammer weight to contain the spring concentric when bound. On the "original" Impact MkI & MkII's that were "modified" it was replaced with the brass hammer spring weight that resembles a thin top hat bushing about an inch long. If the new kit has a provision for containing the hammer spring then it is an extra part, but if not then it might need to be put back n the gun.

Hi,

Weather is finally better for the last hours of the day and I could eventually give this new plenum a try. So far, I can't tune the gun to even get the same speed as before. I'm not far but still not there. The advantage being that the reg is set about 30 bars lower. But I expected to gain some power to be able to shoot slugs in .30 cal and I haven't found the miracle recipe yet.

I can only get 853 FPS with my 50 grains jsb when I pushed them AT 863fps with the old plenum and a reg pressure around 140 bars. It seems now that I reach my max speed AT 110 bars. Pushing the reg higher gives me slower speeds.

Any suggestions on how to get more out of it?

Thanks!

Did you screwed in the power wheel screw for maximum pre load hammer spring ?
