Great looking out, that’s the cheapest I ever seen.

Too bad that thing is a POS.

i actually agree with Kendive on this one. not a fan of this chornograph, found it to be pretty finicky for my environments.

if the FX works in your environment, it is much more convenient while it picks up readings though (which seemed to randomly stop for me at times)

Ever since I switched over to these as the batteries I’ve never had a problem. Never have to swap out batteries either. False readings from batteries a dying are a thing of the past-

not my idea, another member suggested it, I went for it, and it’s totally changed the behavior of the chronograph

I had one of these and it was a total POS and I sent it back. Just letting people know my experience with it and Just stating facts.

Thanks for checking on me. Life is good. This is just one of my many many hobbies.

That could have been my issue batteries but was using fresh name brand batteries. Not sure after having owning one and it was junk if I would try again. I have three other chrono's and they work great. Including the LabRadar. so I figured that the FX branded would be a winner. No in my book.

Mine has been pretty worry free....I use it in the garage and when I am out hunting if it is needed. I use a very nice Chrono when I am tuning a rifle, but the little FX has held it's own. It does love to go through the batteries.

I just sold mine, had no real issues besides the finicky placement for each gun and some missed shots for no apparent reason. It is exactly as described, a pocket chrony. Batteries aside, it worked well enough, app was good too. For a little more $ I now prefer the Air Chrony, although not as portable, but still smaller than a Caldwell. 

My thing is I don't sugar coat anything on here and tell it the way it is. This thing was way to finicky for me. For $200 it better work great. Now if it was $50 I probably would just put up with the issues. I personally feel that it ways over priced.

I found on the internet there is alot of hipe and alot of chat from people that never even owned the item. I find this even more so when talking about powder burner guns and assy's. I own several silencers and several machine guns bunches of Class 3 stuff and I know the quirks with this and that. Then you have guys get on these forums and start chatting like they know everything because they read it somewhere then fine out they never even held one before. I find that quite funny.

Bottom line is that I don't trust most of the reviews on these forums. I rather try it myself and it's not being negative if I tell my real experience with something.

Just to keep things in balance, I have had no issues with my FX pocket chrony. It did all the things it said it would and seems forgiving enough for my situations. I would buy it again.

I do agree with the general principle @kendive is leaning in on, which is that for $200 for something that might cost $20 to produce, it should delight more. The app could be slicker. It does what it does fine, but it feels like the minimum required vs. the standard to reach. I seriously considered the Lab Radar unit at 3x the cost because of the insight of the projectile in flight. That feels like innovation. It feels like something that should cost more. And something that would be great for my powder burners.

You are absolutely paying the FX tax. I didn't know about the Air Chrony or maybe I would have gone that route.
