FX No Limit Mounts - Anyone using them?

Installed my second set yesterday on a Daystate Air Wolf .22 cal, March 4.5-32 scope. The first pair are on an FX Bobcat 30 cal, Nightforce Benchrest scope I shot at this year's Extreme Benchrest. Easy to adjust, and say goodbye to shims. I try to keep my scopes within the middle third of their elevation and windage capacity, and the No Limits Mounts make this easy for elevation. The literature with the rings also says they have limited adjustment for windage, but I haven't figured that out. Loosening the elevation screws doesn't seem to provide any lateral travel, and if it did I don't see how you'd keep a lateral adjustment when you tightened them down.

Something I have been looking at and wanted to look around for. I like the quick release mounts. BUT I also like the no limit mounts.

How about a quick release no limit mount. Since the IMPACT is on the near horizon, that would be an awesome addition to it. It would be an awesome addition period!!!!!!!!!

See post FX no limit rings. FX confirmed they will be offering the Picatinny FX No Limit rings soon. Not sure if they will be quick release though.

Second hand info: I myself haven't seen the FX Mounts, but I know someone who has used both FX and Sportsmatch vertically adjustable mounts and he prefers the Sportsmatch for a controlled adjustment of height via special grub screw. According to AoA website the Sportsmatch are cheaper in the US.

I've use the Sportsmatch vertically adjustable and they haven't moved on any rifles, and I still can't figure out why because with all the abuse they've been getting while slipping/sliding/falling down steep banks/dunes I would have expected normal mounts to have moved.

Got them on my bench rest rifles, awesome product.

everyone seems to love them, but, "I" would be one of those who prefer the sportsmatch mount if needed. I found the FX mount much taller and harder to "adjust" than any other adjustable mount (most of which do have a screw adjustment or such), but, if you need maybe 400 MOA - just a number I grabbed eh?- then the FX is no doubt one you will enjoy.
Just to be clear I didn't hate the FX adjustable it just wasn't for me and I sold it in 2 days.

Actually Burris Signature XTR rings would probably be the best choice which is the last set of rings I actually bought matter of fact for $80 shipped by shopping smart. Cost $100 - $130 if anyone's just too rich or too lazy to shop smart.

Second to the last set of rings were the $40 Burris Signature rings with posalign offset inserts and third recent were Sun Optics Adjustable rings (formerly B Square AA adjustable rings on the cheap $25 including shipping which actually killed the deal).

I have the No limit mounts and I was able to sight in to within 1" at 15 yards by adjusting the mounts before ever touching the elevation on the scope. I think they are well made.

I have 1 set of FX rings in use and they certainly are capable of exactly that-getting the scope near perfect zero without touching the elevation turret. If elevation is the only concern and keeping the scope "centered" in adjustment is desired, then they are fine. If one has a windage correction problem as well, then if using the FX rings you would still have to adjust windage with the turrets (then the scope is "off center anyway") because the FX rings are elevation adjustable only. I prefer to use Sportsmatch fully adjustable rings most often because I can correct BOTH elevation AND windage with those Sportsmatch rings while leaving the scope "centered". Are Sportsmatch rings more expensive? Yes. Are Sportsmatch rings "better"? No. Is a severe misalignment in windage position common? Probably not, but I've seen it a few times. Sportsmatch rings ARE better IMO because they can correct errors in both elevation and windage planes IF NEEDED. Others may not need such so they wouldn't provide any advantage in that case.
