I thought I heard that FX was going to make their own high capacity magazines similar to the side shot at a lower cost than the side shot. Has anyone heard any more about this.

Side shot is working with FX to produce the new magazines. Similar to the deal Donny has making moderators for them. Because Side Shot is now making them on a much larger scale and streamlined production, the cost is supposed to be much, much lower. Don't know a price though. I just got the one that came with my Impact. It is very nice, you can remove the back plate to load the magazine which makes it easier and much faster.

Much much? Really? Lol. Knowing fx. I'm sure it will be like $10 lower. So instead of paying $130, you pay $120. I wouldn't call it much much. More like slightly lower.

They were selling a $2 magazine for $79... I can't imagine them selling a far superior magazine for less.

Jon said price will be less than what side shot is selling. He never said half. Have to remember, the standard fx mag right now that holds 16 rounds is $80. So I doubt they will sell the new mag which holds 28 rounds for less.

I do recall him saying "somewhere near half" in one of the videos from IWA, you have to remember a dozen YT channels present the same facts in slightly different ways, but all basically saying the same thing.

Exactly right Edosan my friend! Pretty much what we both said in the first place. LOL Much, much lower and about half price both work in my book! In the end, we will be paying around $60 instead of $120. Sounds fair to me. They're nice magazines, very smooth and much more convenient to use! Three 28 shot magazines and I won't have to reload all day! Sweet!

They are coming out with 2 versions one for the Impact that is essentially the same as the sideshot. The other is same style as side shot but it is smaller so it can fit under scope tube.

I heard the same thing. But they haven't gave details as of yet. I want to see that new CS400 that they're planning on releasing in the fall.

Is there a materials change anywhere? I was wondering if they were decreasing the price by changing from aluminum to plastic anywhere to lower production costs.

The rotatiing disc on the inside of the magazine is black now, where earlier versions were white. If the white ones are delrin, the black ones aren't.
