Fx moderator, purchase from P.A.

Why would PA lock the ldc on their fx guns? Most guns have build in LCD cause we are still in the grey area about silencers on airgun. But fx guns have removable LCD. So dont see why PA would glue it on. They usually ship it they way it came from fx to them. I ordered mine fx impact from airgun depot instead, and the lcd is not glue on. Just screw off. So I dont see why PA would glue it if AD doesn't. They are both basically same company

The FX LDC is just a hollow can made up of screw together hollow sections and an end cap. No baffles. And not very quiet. Even following the new superlight barrel design of the Crown (and 380mm dreamlight) which includes a high quality and large air stripper inside the barrel shroud wasn't very quiet with the FX can added onto the end. The Dreamlight compact 380mm I got from Airgun Depot came with the LDC not installed and the end cap that was installed screwed right off with no locktight. If you buy any of the FX rifles that they sell together with a DonnyFL LDC, such as any of the 500mm Dreamlines, they ship it with the LDC "permanently attached". But even these can have the body with the guts unscrewed from the entry cap that is locktighted to the barrel for cleaning.

My continuum mod is the quietest one I have. And I have some VERY quiet mods.

Cone baffles, a 25mm extension, and felt dampening 🙂

Heavy-impact used to make and sell them. But does not anymore. I pilfered one of my huma modules for the felt retaing cage (I also make them from hardware cloth) same material. Just dont know where they got the trick little end caps for the cages.

I gave the measurements to a couple people to 3d print, but no one ever did.

Most all of my mods huma or not have felt in the end tip. Cuts down the report significantly.

That looks like a really tight aperture id. Do you know what those holes measure? How many bullet diameters larger? I think my Marauder .177 would be much quieter if it didn't use the same baffles as the .25 which measure .311" id.

The baffles for the FX mod were made for a 25 caliber pistol of mine. But it turned out so well, I ended up putting it back on the Crown. I use a heavier 30 cal huma mod on the pistol. The added weight makes it very stable when firing. It used to have a heavier trigger break. That's why, but I still like the way it handles.

The baffles on the huma mod (the small 22 caliber one you're probably looking at are 6.5mm ID) The 3d printed 25 caliber baffles have 8mm ID holes. And they work better than the huma 6.5. Likely due to the conical shape, and the additional volume inside the tube. 35mm vs 30mm tubes
