FX IMPACT MK2 QUESTION IN .22 CALIBER QUESTION

Max fpe on mk2 should be around 140fpe with new the 0.357 cal, in lower cals the only restrictor is the transfer port holes (barrel and probe) and in the smaller cals the cal itself + ports. On 0.22 should be betwen 70-80fpe max (matt dubber just show extreme accurate slugs shooting at 60fpe (30gn @ 950 fps) just adding that plenum to his old impact (probably a few extra mods also)

When impact mk2 will hit the market... ?donno, considering prior experiences on new fx releases, my bet is sept-nov 2019

It is only for the impact. I don't think they making it for the crown. Also like other says, it's not 25% more energy. Its only 25% more air volume in the valve tube plenum. So maybe a few more ft lb but not 25%. And impact x will be able to upgrade to mk2 with the parts once it's release. Max on my 25 Cal I'm getting 55ft lb. I plan to upgrade it. Guessing might hit 60 ft lb.

I believe the MKII will have a 7.5mm valve so .30 versions should see the most gain in my opinion. I don't know what the pellet probe and barrel transfer port will look like but there may be more room for improvement on those. I hope the design team removed as many restrictions as possible. Aside from R&D the valve assembly should be the only increase in manufacturing cost and not by much. I hope they plan on selling a DIY upgrade kit at a reasonable cost... otherwise I see a nice niche market developing for lathe owners.

Edit: I may be wrong about the valve size... we'll see.

OK you guys seem to clarified ti , I am going to say then to be accurate

22 probably 55 to 60fpe 600mm

25 60-65fpe 600mm

and 30 prob 90fpe 700mm barrel

please post link of matt shooting 60fpe in 22 but he may have other mods.

I remember my impact 25 cal with 600mm barrel got 840 max with mk2 which was only like 53 fpe this was first gen .

Heavy impact you means the valve seat is wider to let air out faster ?? 7.5mm you say

OK then if you install the larger seat what does this do for power ?

I have made bigger plenums and experimented with them in past , I believe you can enlarge it to a point but unless the design is proper to expel it quick before projectile leaves barrel .

The plenum on an Impact is the tube under the barrel just in front of the magazine and will flow without restriction. Larger valve means less restriction and more flow from the plenum. The MKII .30 should make at least 100 fpe since my regular Impact .30 makes that through smaller ports and without the larger plenum.

geeze this is serious increase can I ask when u do this mod are you able to still retain efficiency if you tune say tune it back to say 30fpe or do you ruin the shot count if u tune it back ???

At the moment this is as slow as it will go unless I kill it with the valve stop. My Huma regulator won't go below 100 bar unless I reconfigure it and the power wheel is on min.
