Tuning Fx maverick sniper 22caliber tunes

All of my tunes are for a superior heavy barrel, but.. It shoots everything from 24.8 gr up pretty darn well in .218. My favorite tune is the 31.2 grain NSA slugs in .218. I shoot them around 970 fps. That is with the second reg around 155 bar and a little under the "knee". I can also dial the power wheel down to adjust or 1 and shoot the 24.8 grain at 850 fps for a darn solid house pest tune with no other changes. I never even shot my 700mm standard superior barrel. It has been sitting on a shelf since the day it arrived, because I had the superior heavy waiting :D

Sorry my bad, forgot to mention. I have the FX Maverick slug power kit installed with 13g hammer weight. I also have an 11g hammer weight which works great, but tunes are different. I purchased 2 slug power kits and from second one re-worked the supplied 13g hammer weight down to 11g on my hobby lathe. All tunes on 'S' transfer port.

In the quest to find perfect tunes I was busy for a short while this weekend, found these interesting ones:

Tune 1 – Barrel = 700mm (Superior Heavy) - Slug Power Kit - Transfer Port 'S'

25.39gr JSB Knock-Outs .217

165/130

Hammer = 13g

Preload = +1 turn CCW

PW 5 = 988 - 995 (Great grouping!!)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tune 2 – Barrel = 700mm (Superior Heavy) - Slug Power Kit - Transfer Port 'S'

25.39gr JSB Monster Redesigns

165/130

Hammer = 13g

Preload = +1 turn CCW

PW 6 = 1004 - 1018 (Great grouping!!)

Just ran this tune today.

700mm Heavy slug liner

NSA 27.5

Slug power kit without the pin probe

Hammer: 11 gr with 1.5 gr spacer. Total weight is 11.82 gram

180/150

preload: 6mm

PW7: 975-980

Grouped well at 20 yards. One ragged hole with 5 shots. I did not have time to shoot 50 yards.

PW6: Shot NSA 24.8 @ mid 980’s and they grouped better than the 27.5 slug

I am hoping this weekend to see if I can squeeze a bit more accuracy out of this set up with the hammer screw.
