Tuning Fx maverick issue

After a 2 month wait fox has sent me the wrong screw(old style) for my power adjuster. I’ve got the old style in my gun circled in red. I told them I needed the new style circled in blue, since the old style eats into the power wheel.

I have not found a m3x12 cap head with a 1.5mm Allen so does anyone have access to one so my gun can be complete. I’m pretty frustrated with fx on this whole issue, I had to buy a new power wheel that the old style screw gouged pretty bad. I will never buy another gun that is first batch.

Trust me just give it some time. The leaks and other stuff will mask the screw issue fast and it will no longer be a concern.

Ive yet to have those issues with my Maverick, the only issues were self-inflicted lol. this does seem unfortunate but have you called them to explain this on the phone or e-mail? Their tech department is pretty on point at least from my experience. The only issue I have had is I can be terrible at explaining the technical stuff so I had to send a bunch of pictures with arrows lol.

Just drill the hole bigger for a bigger allen head and just use a 3mm cap screw from the hardware store. That's what I did.

I’ve been on the phone with them and emailed them several times. Even emailed the retailer that I got the gun from.

Cranky1, I had gone through the same problem with both my Maverick and WC MK3. Ordered what I thought was the "new" grub screw to replace the silly small one that chews up the adjusting wheel based on the fact that a friend of mine who bought his maverick in March and it had the "new" grub screw installed. Back on April 20 FX sent me the same old style as I have. I emailed Melissa back with photos and she responded "At this time, we do not have the updated version that you are looking for. We will be getting them in from Sweden, but we do not have an exact ETA on that." I sent the parts back for a refund.

I have polished the top of the grub and that has helped a lot with the ware. I will find the new cap screw and buy some for everyone ;)

Drill your power wheel adjustment hole to 1/8" and use a 3mmx12mm cap screw from the hardware store.

A simple trip to the hardware store could fix this issue. Just go get a caphead screw of the same threading, and you're good to go :)

Both interesting ideas and probably work just fine. The small detail is that the smallest M3 cap screw you can get off the shelf has a 2mm allen. You then drill the hole in the adjustment wheel to accommodate, or, disassemble each time you need to adjust. All good.
