FX Liners, Twist Rate ... Confusion

usually most any slug gun has the breech reamed out for 1/4 to 3/4 inch , you want you slug just contact rifling .

I dont own any e barrels , have any of you guys measured the amount of choke the gun has

example .219 breech choke .2165 ? for the 22 caliber . so you guys saying the liner fx uses for light 22 slugs like 23 to 26 gr ? and 16 twist for 28 plus grains ???

what weight slugs shoot stable other then 26 gr have anyone tried say like NOE bobs boattail or MP slugs ? I am shooting them accurately in 1-17 and 1-16

LOU .

I like Idea of swapping out inserts rather then buying custom barrel or making one for $109 this is a good deal , compared to , buying a blank and having someone do it .

can any of you guys see a crown on the liners ? what does it look like ? a 90% or ?

Maybe we will finally get some answers

Holy smokes!

Indeed...I have middle row mid theater seating put aside for us Bob.

Speaking to the earlier comment about the first portion of an FX liner having no lands/grooves: That's the portion of the liner which slips into the stainless barrel adapter/barrel inlet assembly. That adapter has an "o" ring to seal the liner in that assembly and it would make no sense to have grooves on the outside of the liner under that "O" ring as a potential leak source.

My 600mm (22 caliber) slug liner has a 1:16 twist rate as measured from the outside.

Mine as well. Stopped an order on a 500mm .22 and went to 600mm and a .25 barrel kit and still had to wait a month or so before I could get the barrel and the liner. Must have hit it right as I purchased mine in February. But got it in March. Speaking to the statement about UA selling “old liners” I know they sell out almost before they arrive. So the idea of an old one hanging around doesn’t really ring true to my ears. Following up with Mike(UA) at one point in late March they were flat out of liners and .25 barrels. Having been on the waitlist for as long as I had must have worked to my advantage.

I do think measuring from a single groove on the outside lends to a more accurate measurement.
