Looking at buying the integrated harmonic barrel tuner. Does it really tighten your groups up like I’ve heard and how much more quiet does it make your impact? I have the Impact M3 and also was going to get a carbon sleeve to match with it.

It tightens my group a little bit. It doesn't make it quieter. It looks cool. But it is made out of steel.

For me it is not worth it. Not that I own one but my impact is already so accurate. I watched bunch of YouTube where ppl tested theirs and the groups doesn't even look as good. So yeah, not gonna spend $150 on something doesn't improve much. I think the tuner is just a advisement gimmick. If your gun is already accurate why fix it?

The FX Impact has the capability to be tuned perfectly out of the box. No "harmonic balancer" needed. Be patient and methodical.

I can say mine has been pretty helpful in tightening my groups up some at 150 yards with the .30 cal M3

I agree with Patrick. I bought one to try on my .22 Red Wolf HP but it’s shooting so good right now I don’t want to mess with it. Maybe it’s better for floppy barrels like the STX system, so I might try it on my .25 Boss.

i have found it will move the 177 with fx barrel around quite a bit on a lw barrel not so much. haven’t tried it on 22-25 or 30 yet

It's effectiveness depends on what you're shooting. I'm shooting FX and JSB heavy pellets (.25 cal) in one ragged hole and 50 yards without it and the tuner didn't make any improvements in accuracy (when it's position is optimized) but it did move point of impact. My groups with JSB Knock Outs without the tuner were probably in the 1.5" range at 50 yards. After getting the tuner dialed in, I'm now shooting a ragged hole with the slugs. I haven't tried other pellets with the tuner. For the life of me, I could not get any decent groups with FX Hybrid slugs and the tuner.
