Fx impact x...my progress

Hello im ed from holland and new to this forum. I ve owned many airguns and now own an impact x in .25. The reason i bought it......i love a bit of tinkering and this gun lets me do it all without opening it up.
i ve got both the 600 and 700 mm barrel. And am bussy testing both. Its still to early so have any definetive results but so far i ve been having mixed results. Right now i been using the 600 mm because the 700 gives me to much speed with the 700 mm barrel. Of course i could tune it down but im getting incredible consistent shot strings on the current setting. Max spead of 5 feet per second. With the 600 mm barrel its now spitting a 25 grain pellet at 920 fps..... looking at my groups i think its to high

same distance.....i get 2 or 3 that land just perfect and then 2 or 3 that land 1.5 inch away.....dont yet know why.

it is however very consistent. I plan to shoot 34 grain out of the 700 mm barrel. I have already tried the 700 mm barrel at 850 fps.....with about the same results as above. Wich i dont get because it should be the right speed. Hammer is on 3 and valve at 3.4 ish. For the 25 grain pellets.

So what i plan to do now is try all speeds from 780 to 950 fps for both 25 and 34 grain pellets in both barrels and then tune the gun for the prefdered speed with as little reg pressure as possible......this might not be a great plan since everybody seems to crank it up to 140 150 bar....but so far i seem to get very high speeds at the current settings. The 25 grain does 950 out of the 700 mm. Wich suggest to me the reg can go lower....might be wrong we ll see. I plan to post my results in this topic....there are may options though.....could get a low speed with high reg pressure 2...... cant wait to do more testing....keep yall posted

When i put the hammerspring on 2 its much less consistent, i suspect it needs a sertain amount of tensions to feel happy. however i have tried it on 2......but accuracy was about the same.......so im not sure if it needs to be incredebly concistent. I had an edgun that shot with a max spread of 14 fps. but it didnt seem to matter much up and down.....poi was about the same each shot........strangly enough.

im thinking about extending the butt plate, i think its about an inch short.......im also concidering to make a new adjustmentplate for my atlas bipod, i think its a bit high when not using support fot the back of the rifle. I want to shoot it supporting the back without the aid of a bag.

yep....i have seen them at edgun west.....but i bought mine in holland

I still have to install it.....didnt do it yet, because my impact strated to really shoot well after some fiddling with the settings. i did not touch the reg yet. I found that the most consistent shotstring didnt mean the best accuracy. strange right? i had my impact pw on 3 and my valve at 3.....this wat yielded the most consistent chrony results....then i put the poweerwheel on 5 and it just started to put pellets under 3/4 inch......at 100 yards...so im not touching anything at the moment.

i will take it to 110 yards prob next week and take some pictures of the groups.........the last groups are still on the board on the shooting range. didnt have the time to wait for a seize fire.

I wont disgard the 25 grains .....i plan to keep shooting them out of the 600 mm barrel. The mk2s are shooting very well out of the 700 mm barrel....i decided to tune it for this pellet and to get the b liner for the 700mm barrel to see if there is any difference......there is so much that can be changed on this gun. The options seem endless......ill keep yall posted.
