FX Impact X Huma Regulator Size

So I recently bought a Huma reg for my Impact X. Its not the MK2 so I bought the Gen. 2 version reg with 16mm piston and 8 mm spring washers.

The Huma package is labled FXA04-Gen2. I attempted to install the Huma reg today, but the reg housing is too small and wont’t thread into the main block. I also noticed the existing reg has (11) 10mm washers whereas the Huma has (12) 8 mm washers. Seems like I bought the wrong Huma regulator for my gun. Ugh.

FX Ser No. 183294 (printed on the rear block)
Main block is stamped 180326 underneath the trigger guard. Are the numbers supposed to match?

Which reg do I need for my gun?

I have an impact x. Also not the mk2. I got my impact before the mk2 was even announced. I purchased the gen 3 huma reg and it fit perfectly. No problem. Gen 3 doesnt necessary means the new mk2 impact. The impact x is also a gen 3. Since you purchased the gen 2 that is why it wont fit. I would ask huma if they would switch it. But idk their policy. Cause it was due to user error purchasing wrong item. I know some sellers will charges a fee for you to ship it back. So I would contact them. Word of advice, always make sure you are purchasing the right item before you buy it. If you dont know, ask the sellers first.

Any gun that is labeled an Impact-x is gen three and will have the larger 10mm AMP regulator.

EDIT this should say Most guns and not Any gun as FX did put out some gen2 guns labeled as Impact-x Units as I found in the posts below.

My gun is serial number 182409 and it is a gen2 so it looks like there is a grey area in between 182409 and 183294 where things changed from gen2 to gen3

Is your gen2 labeled an Impact-x? Quotes from Ernest and Matt say if they are not labeled as an Impact-x then they are not an Impact-x. I ordered an Impact-x but received a gen2 Impact like yours and FX sent me an STX barrel later on. Still it is not labeled an Impact-x nor does it have the upgrades made to the Impact-x. It is plainly just an Impact with an STX barrel.

Yes it says smooth twist X on the rear block. The X is a barrel with full length rifling. Before the X, barrels were only rifled the last few inches.

To my knowledge there is no gun from FX with the words "Impact-x" on it anywhere. The rear block on the newest MKII is laser etched "smooth twist X" exactly the same as mine.

Mine has Impact X printed on the main block.

So they did mark some of the gen2 guns as Impact-X's I did not know that and it clears a few things up for me. Thanks for that. Looks like I owe Airgun Depot an apology then.😳 It also looks like Ernest and Matt were incorrect in their statements that if the guns were labeled Impact-x they would have the AMP reg. At least that is what I thought they were saying.
