We all have our areas that we yote hunt just because getting permission is hard to get being most of the good yote spots are also good deer hunting areas so if you don’t know someone with a lot of land you need to gain the farmers or landowners trust to be able to hunt, luckily I just bought 12.7 acres to hunt and shoot on plus I have permission to hunt a couple bigger farms.

Put the torch on my Swfa 3x15ffp and shot this tonight Paint is a bit flaky but you can see the pol clearly 125y

I was going to dial left 15clicks and shoot a new group but forgot to dial it and started shooting so there is another 5 bit thighter this time

If you look closely and pick out the second 5 shots I would think they where around an inch. 

I’ll give 150y ago in daylight tomorrow. It was to far with the torch!

My first gun (well, PCP gun) was the impact .30. I have about 35 yards in my back yard, and that is NOT enough for this gun. If I tune it way down I can shoot it back there without swat showing up, but I need a gun that is more friendly in the back yard. I think peoples problem is they read a lot of bad stuff on the internet, well the thing is that only the people having issues are posting most of the time... so it seems like there is a lot of issues. I watched Ernest Rowe pull the thing apart and get to most all the pieces in 10 minutes, so I am not worrked. What a great gun it is though. Now if I could only find a range that will let me shoot it indoors... no idea what the issue is.

I've had an FX Boss in 30 which I sold after getting the Impact 30. Where I shoot the Boss was a bit long to carry around in the light brush. The Impact suits me much better although I could shoot the Boss off-hand much better for some reason.

I must have taken 100+ rabbits and few foxes with the 30's and it still surprises me how effective it is. I've dropped many rabbits around 100 metres and one hare (like your jack rabbit) at 136 metres (150 yards). Passed right through and he didn't even twitch..

I'm hoping that FX develop their own 30 slugs so that I can try an X barrel/liner. Where I shoot it is always windy so I'm hoping that will improve my longer shots. Quite a few small deer around too which don't get hunted so I have been within 50 metres of a few. I might wait for the slug liner before I tackle something that large, although I have taken one small goat, about 30 pounds.

I have the FX Impact X .30 caliber 700mm rifle. I learned from Utah Airguns that the rifle cant be tuned for accuracy to match the tuning qualities obtainable as by the new Mark II. It is frustrating that I buy a Impact X for $2000.00 and learn that my rifle will not without headaches be tuned equated to the New Mark II. I thought the Impact X was a Top rifle for Extreme Bench Rest competition but it appears FX wants customers to buy the Mark II and not offer accuracy improvements for the Impact X.

I was wanting to have my Impact X set up for Target Competition Accuracy utilizing Slugs. I'm not a hunter but would appreciate the benefits of longer range shooting and accuracy obtainable from slugs. It seems that PCP rifles and pistols are offering new models that become very popular only to have New Models produced. The Cell phone Industry produces new models every six months and buyers are always eager to have the new model. Paying over $2000.00 for a PCP Airgun and less than a year later learning that a new model is produced is very frustrating.

You can buy the parts and make your impact an mk2, its not a completely different gun.

You can actually make that gun better than the MarkII with a few select parts replacement, a slug barrel liner swap, and some tuning. A lot of us owners of the original Impact's have done so with great success. UA might not want to do personalized parts swapping and tuning (maybe so they can be ahead of some of the competition), but you can and we'll help show you the way.

Every manufacturer of every product sold upgrades to something better, for the good of the company and the consumer if they want to stay in business. Our beloved aigun industry is no different, but it does suck to spend $2,000.00 only to have a new and improved model come out months later. I'm still waiting for the promised .357... In the meantime, I'll keep on tinkering with my .30 caliber until it's perfect or I get bored and move on to something else. (Because if they don't hurry, we'll all be spending our money somewhere's else, on something else.)
