FX Impact with .30 cal 700mm barrel

So, I got a used .30 cal barrel kit or my new FX Impact off the classified here on Airgun Nation. Now this thing really is as powerful as a .22LR. I’ve tuned it to give about 85-90 Ft Lbs with a 44.75 grain pellet. I took it out today to do my first accuracy testing. Pic 1 was my first try. Pic 2 was better (I dialed the scope up to max - 16X and aimed at the cross). Then in pic 4 I shot the best group I’ve ever shot. That’s 5 shots in basically the same hole! Interestingly, it did that with the power dialed back a bit.

Hooked and obsessed!

Unfortunately I just saw a post by Mikelo123 about his Daystate Redwolf .22 HP. Now I’m thinking I want one of those as well.......

Thank heavens the kids are all out of college :)

The pics aren't being displayed for me but can imagine....I have a few .30 Impacts that shoot amazingly accurate and like you found once I dialed it back to around 840-850 the groups really tightened up!!

I will say prior to DayState ( now my most accurate gun hands down) I have a few Crowns as well and one set up in .30 and that thing out shoots everything....It likes 44.75 at about 870 but it was MOA or better at 100 over and over to the point it got boring and stopped target shooting with it but as a hunter there was not a critter safe within 130 yards (my longest kill)....

Isnt it a great feeling when those tuition bills stop? I had the joy of having kids that overlapped in college, private colleges, with no financial aid 😬

The biggest pay raise in my life was when those bills stopped coming. So hell yes, I’m gonna buy some nice airguns.

:) My two boys stopped with competition swimming I became a millionaire ;) and way too much free time on my plate. Then I discovered the archery and soon enough started competing and chasing tournaments. Past the 60 line recently, time to slow down, here me got to airguns :)
