That’s what I was thinking. That noise would be a huge distraction!

For some is dumb, for others (like me) is very important the sound and harmonics...use to have a Marauder and it shoots well (average) but hate the sound even with depinger...the Impact sound is like a precise machine ajaja donno how to describe it. By the sound I know if something is wrong with my Impact...is that simple.

Some serious hammer bounce going on? Either way it doesn't sound like a well tuned machine that's for sure lol.

I almost went priest but got an Impact X on the way. The magazine capacity, tunable, my face is not on the mag etc

I'm thinking it wasn't fair to compare the two. The Priest isnt in the same league as the Impact, nor does it claim to be.

I realize that the somewhat similar appearance begs that comparison, and that the price of the Priest is enticing, but it's not an Impact.

Shot my Impact X for the first time last weekend. I had the Shogun attached to it and was expecting a completely different sound. The best word that I can use to describe the sound was that it "slings" pellets downrange. It's definitely a little metallic, but I have absolutely zero gripes with it at all

I had a Priest in .25 cal...yeah, that regulator squelch was annoying, BUT the freaking gun was a Laser!

So the sound is more like a squelch sound? Can you clear that up? To me it sounds like compressed air , Sounds nothing like Hammer bounce,

Yeah, a squelch from the regulator as it refreshes again with each shot (I guess you can say sort of like a whistle). It was annoying and mine also had hammer bounce. I fixed that by putting a small piece of believe it or not, a little slice off a pencil eraser between the hammer spring and the back of the hammer, and it did not affect the speed of the pellet.

I hear, that the new Priest mark 2 is gotten rid of that sound issue. Or so they say. Problem supposed to be a little too narrow air channel?
