FX Impact trigger stuck

Just got to the new FX Impact and like it just fine, however the trigger is stuck. Safety on safety off. Makes no difference. Cocking mechanism seems to work fine, magazines work fine, barrel is clear, everything seems to be ok no pressure leaks, all looks ok except gun won't fire. Trigger is stuck. Any suggestions?

If you have not adjusted your trigger or if it was working fine after the adjustment and then started acting up then what has happened is if you cock your gun and leave the bolt back and shoot the gun it slams the hammer into the cocking block pin which slightly bends the pin. Now when you cock the gun it will not pull the hammer far enough back to engage the sear properly which will cause the gun to not cock or barely cock. If your gun is an older model it has the old designed cocking pin and this one will bend. They have a new designed block now with a stronger pin.
My gun has the older pin so what I did was pull the the rail off the top (3bolts) then take the cheek rests off. Now you should have just a flat plate across the top of the gun remove the bolts and lift the plate off. The cocking block can now be removed. Lift up on the block and slide it back so that the pellet prob rod and cocking block come out as one piece. Make sure that the rod remains the same length and does not turn. Flip the assembly over and on the front of the cocking block is a pin this is what cocks the gun. If the pin is bent even slightly this will cause your cocking issues and trigger engagement problem. This pin is threaded into the block from the top it has like a 1.5mm Allen head. I turned mine 180 degrees where the bend was facing the rear of the gun this allowed the gun to cock again until I got a replacement cocking block. Good luck hope this helps. Let me know if this was the problem

If it is sticking it's the stupid safty. I am having issues wit not just sticking, but going off with use of saftyswitch and mag sticking bad enough that I have to send it back and I just got the damn thing just before x-mas and my compressor just got in. Almost killed my wife when it went off 6 foot away. this is poop. they gotta fix this.

Holy smokes! I am glad that it did not kill anyone. You definitely need to get that looked at by FX.

Masterpiece,

Sounds like your safety screw needs to be backed off a turn or more.

Whenever any adjustment is made to the trigger, the safety must be checked for proper operation and adjusted if necessary.

The safety on my Crown didn't work when I got it brand new, as in it would fire even in the safe position. All it needed was three turns in on the screw and it's good now.
