The removable CF bottle on my FX Impact has stopped auto-sealing when I remove it from the gun. Any tips/tricks on getting this to work again?

No, unfortunately not. It's the CF bottle itself that isn't sealing when I unscrew it from the gun

You have to replace the inside oring ot the bottle normally.

Stan, I hope it wasn't you that gave Dirte a negative for trying to help you out. It's a good way to have people NOT help you out. Dirte is a major contributor and an asset to this forum. Nope, not me!
I finally got the bottle apart - it took some serious pressure (wooden v blocks, 2 clamps, an old Allen wrench, an Oak dowel a mallet and some convincing from Ernest (thanks!) ) to get the top off as the assembly had loctite on it. I cleaned and greased the valve assembly, replaced the orings while i was in there and gave the valve stem a general polish with wet n dry - the valve stem had a tiny groove on the end that might have been catching on the brass valve body. Put everything back together (no loctite, just snugged up) and it's working great again.
For anyone else - FX has the parts diagram for the CF bottle on their support page. The valve assembly is the same (sized differently) as that in the gun (valve seat, delrin seal ring, valve stem and spring) so it will be familiar to anyone that's had the gun apart. Once you get the top off the bottle it's an easy overhaul. Just getting the top off required more force than I would have liked.

Here's the easiest way to get fittings out of CF and/or Alum bottles. I've used these on CF bottles up to 90cuin, and have yet to not get one free....and without damage or scraping.

I would have used a rubber strap wrench like that for the bottle if I had one (and I almost bought one yesterday) - but did you put that around the fitting as well?

Hi, if you want to bleed all the air from the air cylinder quickly just loosen the filing gauge slowly until you hear air escaping until empty. Slowly but surely. Hope this helps. I need to take mine off , just ordered a c spanner, bit expensive but it's the proper tool for the job.
