FX Impact regulator question

Hi all,
I've recently purchased an Impact, and i'd like to shoot it at 12fpe. Is there an optimal pressure to set the regulator at for this power level? It came from factory set at 150bar, and i've since lowered it to 105 bar, but it made very little change to the chrony numbers. That is, i could achieve 12fpe at 150bar, and still could at 105bar, but i think i might be "choking" it too much. The instructions explicitly say not to lower the reg pressure below 100bar, but there is a side note that says the UK spec (12fpe) settings are different.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks!
Ryan

For anyone who has had this gun apart and understands the inner working...

When wanting a lower power setting what is the preferred method?
-Does screwing in the valve screw start wearing the valve stop with the hammer wacking it prematurely?
-Can decreasing the reg too much increase the chance of valve damage? (Wacking the valve with a lower resistance of air)

When using a low reg setting or valve screw turned in, should you try to always use the 'MIN' hammer setting to prevent wear from the above 2 scenarios?

16,J power Impacts have non adjustable valve and fixed regulator. I don't know what other differences there are.

As long as you don't go below 100bar and can achieve 16J, it shouldn't upset any other parts.

As for the regulator, fit a more accurate gauge to set the pressure at 100bar. FX gauge is a good 10bar off. Factory set is 140bar and gauge on majority read 150.
