Hey Guys,
Had brother in-law hooked instantly into PCP airguns when he tried mine out few months ago…. so he goes out and grabs a new Impact in .22 but he just sent me at text stating that the adjustable power wheel is giving almost the same speeds from MIN up to MAX.
I had him take the wheel off and inspect the screw which he said was loose on MAX setting but still giving same velocities on all numbers and letters
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Here’s a video about tuning your power wheel set screw. Make sure to put a little lock-tite on the set screw if you adjust it.
Also, the set screw (block?) can seem loose when the rifle is not cocked. Once you cock it, the spring should put tension on it.

+1May 2, 2020 at 2:34 pm LinkSorry to resurrect an old post (especially for my first post ever)
I found this post because i have similar issues. My gun recently ate its c3 bumper and i replaced it with an improperly sized nylon washer (waiting on the part to arrive). So i assume your 2017 issue is solved but for the others like me who find this in a Google search , the power wheel issue could be linked to a broken c3 bumper that is interfering with the hammer.

May 3, 2020 at 8:08 am LinkHave a Mk-1 and a friend has a Mk-2 that are doing the exact same thing. It's not the set screw. Has to be inside. Have not taken apart to find the problem yet. I'm at a complete loss of what to look for with this problem. Reached out to FXUSA. They contacted me promising to get back, but never happened. So this will be another learning experience. I'll pass on what I find after completing. sylvan

November 7, 2020 at 5:03 pm LinkHey. I have an issue right now that is entirely my fault.
I turned the power wheel while the gun was cocked now the adjustment screw isn’t holding any tension on the power wheel.how do I fix this problem

Good catch! Might be working normally and he might not have realized it. The slider is supposed to be slack (be able to jiggle) until its cocked.

Thanks! Here are some reasons why no speed difference between min and max on the power wheel.
1. the valve adjuster is over adjusted CW on min so increasing PW to max has little affect.
2. HSTA preload is over adjusted to a given reg pressure—-> reg pressure speed max out on min so no speed increase in max.
3. Excessive lock tight on C9 will jam HSTA so adjusting has no affect.
4. On high power mods with high reg, max preload on max PW there will be slightly speed change to min on PW.
5. PW is controlled by the VA, Reg pressure, HSTA preloud not the other way around.
