The regulator pressure gauge is surprisingly accurate. The bottle gauge is of by 20 bar. I set the regulator at 145b to shoot both calibers  [email protected] and [email protected] hammer power wheel at 4 and 1 but in the 22 I had to tune more with the valve covering the third line. I tuned the gun for 30 and got it extremely accurate for the 22. Im very happy with the results.

    I did it

    Cero jaming issues,

And shooting  22 cal @ 145 reg with 600mm barrel slug liner, got

Still thinking, same settings 0.25 and 0.30 better accuracy. But is getting better on slugs now.

Nicely done. Any idea what if any increase was seen in terms of FPS from old probe to new?

Hi Matt if you check page 3 i think i posted how it was, before it was around 945 with elongated probe tp, now 965 with the new port, so is about 20 fps gain… And remember 145 bar only 😉

@edosan very well done. Now you are ready for some heavier slugs

Thanks! just order 24gn  & 22.5 VK (NSA still not getting orders).

For the impact (not many can change barrels as the impact and other fx ag) I am not very convinced on slugs just yet, why?

As you saw in my post, just changing barrels to .30 cal 700mm on the 50.15gn I get 900 fps (now I will dremel all my probe ports), that is over 90 fpe and better long range accuracy (much better so far) than 0.22 23gn nsa slug @930-940 fps on 600mm Slug Liner Barrel (still need to test a lot more). I Think is much more efficient to use a 0.30 cal. (Nothing change but the barrel and probe) on the impact, or even a 0.25

In economics, at the long run today is cheaper to buy the 0.30 700mm barrel Pellet Liner A + 0.30 Pellets (150) vs Slugs and the Liners, maybe in a close future that might change (when H&N and JSB star making slugs?) . Just thinking out loud here…still need more test. If slugs improve their accuracy, for sure will be something to think.

Anyway, I am pretty happy with the results right now, and still lot of room for improvement, like Lager Plenum, milled Valve Housing, Hammer Weight, more Reg Pressure, 700mm barrel, all that will add for sure about 100fps more, that means shooting any slug on my impact. (MK 1 1/2? jajaja)

South African guys are really showing great things on 0.22 slugs and the impact, but maybe because of SA regulations on Air Guns over 0.22 cal? donno. At the end is all about to get the job done, fast and efficient. So many roads can lead to that. But if going high on cal is a restriction, for sure 0.22 slugs is the way to go 100%. Lucky as in US we do not have any restrictions on AGs.

Today I will lub the slugs and see what happen

Finish today testing, not much difference with lub. Pellets are still more accurate than 23gn nsa slugs @ 83 yards

Is funny, sometimes I can shoot 2 or 3 slugs in the same hole and when I start to get illusions bum! flyers… Hating NSA right now (not taking orders I mean) need to test more and different slugs…

VK on the other hand, send me the Slugs yesterday, so in about 2 weeks I will be probably testing those … 22.5 and 24 gn

Ratsniperslugs now in their page publish: Not taking orders for the moment

Hate to be limited to test on slug availability :(

@heavy-impact as I recall you elongated the 0.30 Tp too right? what was  the gain on FPS?

Yes.   They are the most stable and accurate of the weights I tried….19, 21, 22.5, 23 and 24…..in my gun.   1:16 twist.

Today I test 19 and 21 gn slugs, as expected, not worth it, looks like high is better, 23 gn so far are good, but looks like 24 to 30 gn are the best for slug liner 0.22

19gn too small, got jammed on the brass barrel tp.

Looking at this group I have to agree when you said that trying to make the gun to shoot the slugs is not worth it when it can shoot the .30 with much more accuracy.

Thanks Bob, see? that what I mean when I say a fair fight…but still I believe Slugs will win! ;)

Looking at this group I have to agree when you said that trying to make the gun to shoot the slugs is not worth it when it can shoot the .30 with much more accuracy.

And that is an average group, sometimes is even better but no pictures of those. Accuracy and efficiency, if you think about it the impact is pushing a 44.x gn pellet at 910fps reg @ 145 with the .30, the only difference with the 22, (besides the cal of course) are the TPs (probe and barrel) nothing else. (I change only barrels, not settings, and I play sometimes with the power wheel to see how affects accuracy). I like better 10 shoot group than 5, if you check my group, almost 6 pellets went in less than 0.5 inch, and 4 of them bit less than an inch.

But, slugs are getting better and better (They no worth to try light slugs on the impact, but so far from 24gn and beyond looks like is different) I need to go heavy on slugs, 23gn are not bad, but not pellet accurate on any distance in my tests (but looks like heavier slugs do the trick), this week should arrive the 22.5 and 24 gn, and I just order from NSA 27gn and 30 gn, hopefully I will have my bigger plenum by then, and hammer weight, or even better…a power kit (full power kit) will see…but for sure something will arrive! :D

Anyway I have no doubt that the slug performance on wind is unbeatable, and with the right tune and slug, might be even outperform pellet accuracy or be very close, as MD shows on his instagram with a 30gn slug on 22 and wind.

BTW I haven't made the probe mod I made on the 22 on the 25 and 30, I will do it soon, and post the results here
