Fx Impact Fix & Mods for more FPS / FPE

I got a fast reply from Michal about the new Plenum Production. He said $100 plus shipping (about $45 to USA) and production starts after 26 August!

They are 3X larger than the original MKII's. Made from 7075 Aluminum, tested to 330 Bar. OD is 33mm and ID is 28mm.

And those will fit mk2 or the mk1?

Either, just tell him what you have.

Killer, ima get one

Yep I told him I had a Impact X-700 Generation 3 and he said he could fix me up.

I also contacted Muchal, its going to be sent next week.

Beside that, just received from Johan FX new mk2 plenum and valve housing. Interesting thing about VH is that there is no valve seat ring.

Valve seat is integrated in VH ... and dia inside is 6.35 even maybe 6.5mm ... I cant measure it since is deep insode. So, I believe no more isue with VS.

Finaly, my Impact x has become Impact X mk2.

Will be fun to test 70cc plenum and see where we go with it.

My beauty and the beast

Nice! is 6.35 and now is easier to drill! jajaja :D

Hahaha... yep, no fac thongs drill it asap.... hahaha

Edosan ... what is the benefit going from 6.35 to 7mm since u test it... have u measure it or compare, do you have some numbers. Thx

I'm also curious of any data on this topic. I think my MKII has this same one piece unit judging by everything else, but I don't think there's any benefit for 22 cal going larger than 6.35mm - probably 25 cal and up. I'd love to be wrong about that though!

No sorry, I left data for the statistics... For me is all about accuracy, hate data, I keep the important one in my head, but is easy! Shoot with the impact the 0.30 cal @ 1000 fps 44.7gn and you will see the difference, I do that @125 bar (digital gauge now) , and accurate as hell.

I will never ever do a post with stats 😅

Next year I plan to compete in the big 3 in USA so I can borrow you Silver Surfer and you can take all the data you want 😉😁

Can the transfer port mod can be improvised for more fps gain (pic below). Cuz i am getting around 945fps with 25 grains at 150 bars with the new valve housing and additional plenum of mk2.

I am also unable to install the 5.8valve seat in the new housing because its already built into it unfortunately.

Need to know if the below porting can be improvised. Thanks

If you have the integrated valve seat it's opening is 6.35mm. No need to go larger for your caliber.

For the porting you need to work on the port and pellet probe. Measurements in this post > https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/fx-impact-mods-for-more-fpe/page/29/#post-537397

Those factory C3 bumpers don't last long eh? Mine split in two today, finally popped my MKII's cherry and opened it up. While I was in there, I installed a 7(.5) gram brass hammer weight in my MKII. I don't have an acetyl bumper right now, but I threw in a duro 90 o-ring that I had (2.90x1.78mm) which looks to be the same size. That should be ok for a little while right?

The good thing using slugs is you are not limited on velocity. At least the kind of velocity you can get from an airgun.

Currently I am pushing the 29.3 Gr. slugs at 980-990's. Had it at 1015-2o fps for testing. Seemed to loose a little accuracy, however, I need to work on the lede a bit more. May have been the issue.

Shot over 2400 bullets in the last week+. Lots of test and experimenting going on. A real marathon! Both in the new liner and an Artemis pp700. the pp is stellar in accuracy. It a .216 and the RS Liner a .222 barrel liner.
