I surely hope people like edosan and heavy impact keep publishing their DIY work that subscribes and adheres to the applied physics that a pcp exhibits which I openly share. It separates boys from men in my book. Some people swim in a lack of information and an abundance of marketing.

How can one get the high power kit from Earnest R.

    Call FX USA at 866-639-0772

If you get a recording just call back every 5 minutes until you talk to a person. I know it's crazy but that's the way they have it setup.

Today I add a spacer in the spring and also found a seat valve 5.8 than ER give to me (Totally forgot about it, Thanks!…I had 2…and I was wonder why 2!? until I measure each and bingo!), installed and achieve the same but in 145bar… tomorrow I will publish more pics … Glad I had the barracudas match, 21,+ gn, good to waste in chrony 😂

Every time I disassemble my Impact I learn! More confident every day with it.

I polished my .22 600mm barrel yesterday with 1200 grit non-embedding compound and decided to elongate the barrel transfer port and pellet probe while I had it apart.

Before this the gun was shooting 18.5gn H&N Hunter Extremes at 1010 fps on 145 bar. After the work it's doing the same speed on 120 bar.

I don't shoot over 50yds so I like higher velocity and an expanding pellet. Haven't tested accuracy after the work because my yard is mush from a week of rain.

With less than $10 in supplies and a little elbow grease you can have much higher velocity or higher shot count.

Edit: I use this cordless rotary tool and these carbide burrs.

How do you polish the barrel. Do you mean the inside where the rifling is? How do you get deep inside to polish. And would it damage the rifling or affect it?

If done correctly no damage will occur. https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/fx-impact-x-25-cal-heavy-over-880fps-anyone/#post-450465

Hi guys, well my quest continues

Interesting to add a spacer in the butomm, before the Spring Guide , spring and hammer. It maximize the spring tension, but there is a point that it won't cock if the Hammer screw is too tight, so you know where is the "true" max for high pressure.

I haven´t been able to test much yet (busy days). All I can say is that I had 2 leaks, first one was mysterious and I believe that was the delrin that seal the valve seat, since I change that valve form 5.5mm to 5.8mm…fix that with a couple of dry shoots. But then, I lose like 50 bar overnight…after testing…dumb leak…was the wika gauge, needed to be tighter. Was hard to find that one with leak detector, so I put the back end of the rifle in a bucket with water and bingo…1 big bubble every 3 or 5 seconds…tight a bit more, rest overnight and done… (yesterday)

So next step will be to tune again for max speed, and put the 600 Slug Liner … and also wait for the arrival of my new oversized plenum and my hammer weight

I hope they anodize the oversized plenum to match the rest of the gun.

I think bzizzi wants you to call Ernest Rowe and ask him to list Impact mods in this thread and then give your Impact back to FX…. or maybe he didn't read your first post. 😁

    Edited for spelling.

Ok some results on my impact x @145 bar reg pressure, 5,8 mm valve seat & hammer spring spacer & wika gauges

On 600mm .022 cal max speeds on slug liner and elongated tp.

Those are all 0.22 beast, rabbit hn, monster, nsa 23gn, barracuda match, jsb 18 & jsb 15

    NSA 23gn 945fps accuracy between 1 & 2 moa

    Nsa group @ 50 mt (55 yards)

JSB Jumbo Beast 34gn 810fps accuracy same than nsa

JSB monster redesigned 25.4gn 930 fps same accuracy

(I did not test a lot)

I did not touch the settings and went to pellet liner 0.25 700mm barrel and…

Jsb 25,4 gn 1020 fps, accuracy moa

Jsb 34gn mk2 915 fps, accuracy moa and sub moa

    Then I took the 30 cal, 700mm

44gn jsb 905 fps, accuracy moa

50gb jsb 875 fps, accuracy moa and sub moa

Reg always in 145, so lot of room for more fps.

Need to to test, larger plenum and hammer weight (on the making process) and 700mm 0.22 barrel, all that will add 50 to 100 fps more for sure. But with the mods I add I am pretty happy, hope that help to those wanting to mod your impact. Some modes do apply to to Crowns and other fx models.

And I forgot, I need to test the washer order change in the regulator.

    30 cal 50gn @ 50mt (55 yards)

    5 shot group

    Same @ 75mt (83yds) 5 shots 1 out

Not sure if slugs are best option now, for sure they are a good option if .22 is your only barrel. Anyway too soon to tell, need to test a lot more

Very nice work @edosan especially the results .25 and .30 has shown. For .22 you just need to find the right velocity for better accuracy. Do you have a B-liner for .22? As it may shoot the pellets a bit better.

Thanks! The pellet A liner is great for JSBs, not very impressed with the Slug Liner tho, but I have to do more tests and different pellets (hn rabbit magnum slugs still suck) Slug Liner definitely better than the pellet A liner (for slugs)
