Fx Impact Fix & Mods for more FPS / FPE

Edosan hit again ! He made it alone .

Edosan is this tool a normal traditional tread opener or something different? I can’t open the full page in ali express . I use to work my gun in higher pressure than the normal around 175-180 bars for 65 gr slugs ( with huma extra high pressure regulator ) and this job in the pellet probe must be done. Is really very scary only with the thought that the full probe can past through your shoulder like a bullet .....

The pellet probe length is the same, its just the back bit thats different. It will fit your probe holder without effecting pellet seating in barrel.

Thanks Ahmed

like this way you set it in the photo I can see that is the same. Unfortunately I am out of my country for long time and I don’t have the probe holder to try it. So you think the back bottom side will fit and will not disturb anything back side.
But way they do have in their diagram for the latest models different probe holder .
I am asking because I know how it looks my probe holder for my impact x third gen but I didn’t see how it looks the improved one.

And the point is that I order already one more probe holder without I know which model is and they delivered it already to my home .
I hope you are right and it will fit . It seems much more stronger than the other probes and I will install a 4mm screw.

Continue the good job Edosan!

If I am not wrong you didn’t use helix coil in the thread . Is a simple thread by tap. Can you give us any Informations for the size of the hex screw? If I judge from the distance from the 2 small holes still it seems to be M8 size.It would be helpful if you explain us the process for the thread. Thank you in advance ....

Thanks Edosan .Actually I want to right before the size of the grub screw and I wrote accidentally “hex”. The point is that I can’t find nowhere online M9 screw. Only M8 or M10. If I use M10 the space near the 2 small holes is limited but still enough, but I need to modify the size of the screw or the flat area in valve house. I am thinking to open a 9mm hole ( only in thread area not in tp) and try to insert a helix coil and after to use the factory M8x8 grub screw.
Any informations where can we find this M9 screw online?

@Chris1973 You can use the original factory shouldered grub screw to hold the valve housing in place and save some extra work with this Dremel bit tool. I used it to open my inner block port up to 8mm. Using a Dremel tool instead of a drill press, it slides right in past the factory threads so you can do the port-matching work. (On my .30 caliber the ports are oblong, ramped and smoothed to allow for the best air flow.)

Thanks Edosan .

Ahmed you are right !

Airgun hobbyist thank you . Before few weeks in a different topic you gave me the same advice and I ordered exactly the same bit together with a new rotary tool . Probably I will receive it the next 2-3 days .The first attempt will be with the dremel . I have 4 rear blocks but I will modify only 2 of them .

Edosan back to removable valve seats?

Did you try to open the valve seat in the newest type of valve seat ? This valve seat (intergrated) in the photo has been opened to 8mm and I made few different sizes valve stem seals from peek material from 8.80 up to 9.75 mm maximum .

Unfortunately I can not try it yet . With the corona virus I have been trapped in Middle East (where I am resident and working) and my impact is in Greece(mother country ).

The only pleasure I can get is to play with my spare parts....😢.

Take care all guys and be safe .....

Edosan when I mentioned above that I didn’t try it I mean I didn’t even install it . I am sure that one of the different size peeks will seal good. With my eyes the contact surface even with 8mm hole , seems to be bigger than the contact surface with an old type 7mm vs.

Unfortunately My gun is around 3000 miles far from me so no tests even for leeks and dry fires . Only God knows when this quarantine will finish . Most possible is you will try it first as usually in the near future .😀👍🏻

Oh I see, so far I never seen anyone with a VS larger than 7.0mm, many have try, none has worked ok (as far as I know), good luck with that

Edosan the hole I opened in TP is actually 7.95mm
I don’t have a peek or derlin rod to try to demonstrate it now. I took a factory pellet probe . Diameter of the head is 9.88mm . Try to insert the head inside to touch the vs . It fit and is moving still loosy....

I mean the vs is now 7.95mm . And there is space for peek seal 9.88 mm and can be even bigger around 10mm. That means the contact area of vs and peek/derlin seal is around 2mm. I think is more than enough . So why to not seal ?
This is my theory . Of course there is a big way from theory to action ..... but ok it seems logic. The difference is that the old removable type vs has more limitations than the newest ( intergrated) . I still remember last year when you post one photo with the newest valve house and you wrote something like this:” more space for bigger vs . 7.5 , 8 or why not and 9mm “”??
sorry Edosan if is not excacly the same ...I can’t find easy your post but was something like this ...personally I believe a peek/derlin valve stem seal around 9.50 mm will seal perfect ....
