    Congratulations.

Did the fatboy provide more velocity over the ER version? I want the larger volume for my .30 cal but I worry about getting the design right for the pressure and safety factor so I ordered 1 3/4" (44.45mm) 7075-T6 round bar for my first tests. My lathe is still 2 or 3 weeks out on a slow boat from China.

Thanks, I have not tested fully yet, but I am getting 960fps over the redesigned @ 110 bar, the real test is @ higher reg pressure. I didn't want to touch much util today. There is a video of Ernest showing the difference of bore with 30 cal.

I searched for the video but couldn't find it, do you have a link ?

Looks like He took it out, about 50fps increase on 44,7gn but more important (for me), safer (peace of mind).

And probably he will remove most "improvements" (saw it in the mag video, now in this one), in order to not give a "false"  sense of that the impact mk2 need improvements. I bet we will see more YouTubers showing the Mk2 with no mods. ;) just a feeling. And is understandable, for most users the MK2 will have enough "juice" for most proyectiles, and just a few ones will keep pushing the limits.

Traces on YT (but when click it it says the user has removed the video)

Just to recap what I think this thread is about . Adding plenum space ( up to 50cc extra)  ,which allows user to get same velocity with a lower regulator set point with the added bonus of efficiency. Opening the airway from the plenum ( factory) to the probe including transfer port ( as close to full bore port size), gets the user more speed and/or FPE. Last is adding a hammer weight , allowing the user to get the valve to open at higher reg pressures .( completely unnecessary for added plenum users ) and throws the “harmonics “ of the shot cycle off. I think that pretty much covers it .

Im not making huge power with the .22 cal as set up , but the efficiency is way down. It is set up at 150 bar which means I’m only using 100bar while on the reg . Can anyone tell me where I can buy the rear gauge block , I have a plenum to use but would like to keep the factory block just in case I screw it up . Thanks

Hi , Your sum is about right ;)

Uses are different depending on the objectives and projectiles you want to use, but also add more power (that is why you can lower the reg speed) for heavier projectiles. The hammer weight is necessary for reg pressures over 145-150 bar, so is not plenum dependant. For example if you want to shoot 40gn 0.22 slugs @ 920fps, probably and even with all mods, you will need the hammer weight since that will be 160 – 170 bar reg pressure. (only an example) but if you shoot lets say 27gn slug, the reg pressure might goes down to 140b, so no hammer weight needed. The hammer weight also add about 2 mm of pretension to the spring. Or you can shoot 23gn slugs, and then, almost no mods needed (almost since for me C3 bumper and porting is a must in all my guns)

Rear block you can get it on FX USA, give it a try.
