Just wondering If anyone had great success With the 21g NSA slugs out of a impact or crown 500mm .22
Just got done tuning the impact with NSA 21g and 23g
-21g @ 925-935Fps
-23g @ 895-905Fps
for the 23g is that enough speed ?
thanks

August 12, 2019 at 10:28 pm LinkI have a crown 22 500mm with slug liner. Best ammo so far I’ve tested is VK 24gr slugs. I think it shoots 860 or 890fps can’t remember. Hammer spring max/ reg at 155bar/ transferport on .25/30 cal

August 12, 2019 at 10:41 pm LinkJust a little worried about the .218 23g tune not having enough speed for longer shots 100 plus yards
we’ll see at the range which one works out better
I forgot to mention regular is @ 150 and hammer spring is maxed out getting about two mags per fill (28 round mag)
thanks guys

For pesting and hunting if you have the accuracy with your present tunes then you certainly have the power. Bill

August 13, 2019 at 4:13 pm Link900 is plenty for far shots. Once you have muzzle velocity and a starting bc it doesn’t matter the range. Get StrelokPro and a range finder. Also someone posted an article that showed around 900 FPS MV was the best speed for less wind drift. Only two mags on a full tank? Sounds like you are wasting air. Where is your front bumper stop adjusted to?

August 13, 2019 at 4:30 pm LinkRegulator is set @ 150 bar hammer spring is maxed out and the valve adjustment @ 10.25mm (from the beginning of cap to wall)
getting just a hair over two mags before it reaches Regulator working pressure . 60 shots
maybe a 600mm slug liner will help improve shoot counts

Just small game squirrels & rabbits And pest birds, going to range soon to see the accuracy

August 13, 2019 at 7:27 pm LinkI recently modified the pellet probe and transfer port as Heavy-Impact as shown in different threads. Before I was 150 reg, hammer spring not maxed but close and was shooting 24 grain slugs at 920. I was getting 3 mags. I do have a 600mm slug liner. After elongating the TP my reg is set to 130 with the same results. Did you start low on your hammer spring and work your way up? If you went straight to max, you could have passed the max MV and started back down the curve. That slows speeds and waste air. Just a thought.

Going retune it and slowly set the hammer spring and regulator back a few turns and see what happens
i went from low to high on hammer spring and must of went to high and missed the sweet spot

August 13, 2019 at 9:43 pm LinkI went back to retune and found out that my max power and power 5 was shooting about the same power So yes it was wasting air for sure on max setting so I readjust the max power hammer spring to the same length as power 5 and now it’s not wasting Any more air on max setting .. also I turned Down The regulator pressure to 145 and got 90 good shots at 930fps with the 21g slugs . still new to this tuning and thanks guys
