FX Impact Mk ll looks sweet, but?

The impact is a sweet looking airgun, accurate and reach out and touch something, but I have been reading here that there a few issues like reg creep or something were you have to fire a few shots first befor you go hunting or target shooting. Is this all FX airguns or a particularly one? Seems like this issue should have been corrected at the factory. Opinions please.

I think most of FX guns has this issue, but its been fixed, newer FX guns comes with the new amp regulator.
The newer of the Impact X has the new reg, not the older ones
Im pretty sure all the impact mk2`s has been fitted with the amp regulator,

…Generation 3 Impact X's (after Serial Number 183534) have the long (16mm) piston and large (10mm) housing (These are called AMP regulators)

Generation 2 Crowns (after Serial Number 180760) had the long (16mm) piston and the large (10mm) housing (These are called AMP regulators)…

The AMP regulators are able to be adjusted down without releasing pressure, but it is still recommended to fire at least 1 shot every 1/4 turn while adjusting down, to ensure nothing goes wrong.

Tell me how the impact mk2 look sweet? Cause it look just like all the other impacts and impact x. All impact are the same. Only the internals are different. Such as different reg and valves. As for the reg creep. Most fx guns do it. Not just the impact. Happens on crown and wildcat and I'm sure other guns, dreamline, streamline, etc. And no, they do not fix it in the amp reg. They amp reg is their newest reg. It can be turn up or down with air in the tank. I have the impact x gen 3 with amp reg and I can tell you it creeps. Most fx fan boys will tell you it's no big deal and just dry fire 1-2 times to get back to normal. For me, it's annoying having a $2000 gun that creep always. Each time I take it out for target shooting or hunting I have to dry fire 2 shots.

Wow, thats new, i thought they fixed the creep with amp reg.
Anyone else had creep with amp regulator ? would be very interesting to know, plan on buying a dreamline in the future, but still very happy with my Wildcat with huma reg.
Ps. i also think the Impact looks sweet! ( im not into wood stocks)

Sweet looking for sure!

My new Crown with AMP reg had some creep but small things like that don't bother me, especially when it gave me very tight Extreme Spread.

My MKII doesn't creep at all. I out it away last night at 122bar on the reg and 185bar on the bottle gauge, and just checked it a few minutes ago and they have not moved. The new gauges are very nice.

:)

I'm a sucker for two-tone!

My Impact X which has the AMP reg does not creep or loose pressure. It stays at 110 BAR and I can get 32 FPE with JSB 18.13's. At LOW (and 1) it's 740 fps and at MAX it's 910 fps. I get over 150 shots on max, and over 200 on 4 (860 fps). The first shot has the same POI as the last. I've shot over 9,000 rounds through it and it is incredible! The factory LDC works very well. My wife recently noticed a raccoon that had been hit by a car and was dying next to the road. I got the Impact and put one through the head. When I turned around she said "did you shoot it, I didn't hear the gun go off", and she was only 10 feet behind me. (Thanks FX!)

Sweet as a Candy!! actually when AGDepot put it among the ugliest ... make me mad! 😂 For me is the perfect design airgun...but hey for tastes ..colours

I have said it several time but here we go again

IMO the impact is not for everyone.

If you are a shoot and go the impact is not for you (crown or wildcat better) if you like tinkering and mod, then the Impact.

You will find on the impact small fixable failures that shoot and go personalities hate (understandable) and rant about a us$2.000 gun with problems. IMO the impact is not a 2.000 gun is a 4.000 gun, but what you get for 4.000 is top notch accuracy and about 4 different guns. (Not scope included 😅)

Regarding reg creep, every time you change your reg need time to settle it will creep a bit until it it get settle, but nothing to be worried about, I have a second gen Impact X (and the MkII heading this way...that show how much I like the impact) for more than a year now, with no reg problems and changed like 3 o'rings so far, nothing more. Once you learn how to take care your Impact, is quite easy. VERY intimidating at first, but once you do it, is very easy and straightforward. Many people confuse reg creep with a bad tuning. (like low fps in first shots) but hey!, sometimes is reg creep.

Impact is a F1 race car, no one race an F1 car bought out of the shop. But you can race out of the shop. All I can say is that so far, I have not had a problem I could´t fix just with the info available in the web, and the help of Ernest Rowe videos.

My 2 cents

THE SWEETEST THING! :p
