FX Impact magazine won't advance pellets

Shawn,
I've disassembled my Impact .177 & .30 cal magazines to clean and lube them.

They are actually pretty easy to get apart and put back together...

Here is a link that covers it...
(thank you Esting Rowe)

I recommend only putting 2 turns on the spring when reassembling. This reduces the chance of damaging that starting skirt first pellet, yet still advances just fine.

If you really don't feel comfortable taking it apart, you can try to simply adjust the "tightness" by holding the larger alan bolt whilst turning the smaller one on the clear plastic side. Just keep the adjustment to 1/4 turn or less at a time to prevent trouble. (And obviously don't crank it so hard as to crack the plastic...)

Frankly I was surprised how simple they are when I first took one apart!

Oops...

I gave some incorrect advice!

The small alan bolt is the one on the all metal side and the large one is on the clear plastic side.

To add a bit more clarification regarding the actual adjustment. With both alan wrenches in place loosen the large one half a turn then you can unscrew the small one a quarter turn before snugging the large one again... Simply go back and forth a bit by small bit until you get the plastic cover and inner pellet holder rotating with the desired resistance. It is a balance of both alan bolts to get it working exactly right. Just remember that the last one to tighten should always the be the larger one on the clear plastic side...

Its actually easier to do than to explain!

Hi Shawn. Are you using original heavies or mk11? The originals are borderline fitting in the magazine.
I've found it's not so much the length but width of the skirt. Because of this I then got small deposits
of lead in the mag which inhibited its rotation. I couldn't get hold of the mk11 but if I pushed the originals
through a sizer I have no problem.
