FX Impact M3 advice needed

New to this exciting sport. Just recieved my new M3 .25 sniper. Have a CF sleeve arriving today. Have not shot or done anything to my gun yet. Have read on this forum and watched videos about cleaning the barrel first as it may have a coating in the barrel from shipping from overseas. Since i will be removing the barrel anyway to install the CF sleeve should i slide a pellet down the barrel after cleaning to check for any tight spots? Watched videos where this has been a problem and a polishing was needed to cure this.

CLEAN BARREL ALWAYS AND SHOOT IT, THEN ENJOY IT DONT RE INVENT THE WHEEL LINERS ARE FINE

I always clean barrels on a new gun cuz you don't know for sure if it has been done or not.

I pretty much always polish my barrel lightly with 50 to 100 strokes and car polishing compound. This helps reduce or completely negates the need to shoot a bunch of shots for break in. I never use a drill or anything so harsh in my polishing.

Dude, clean the barrel and shoot the heck out of it.

I am a proponent of polishing barrels because I hate cleaning them but that’s for down the road. Shoot, shoot, shoot, learn the gun and the settings you like and worry about polishing it later.

Clean the barrel for sure, mine was giving patches out the other end that was very very black on the first clean.

They was so black i was thinking " Danm those Swedes sure as hell test fired this barrel A LOT "

I agree with clean it and shoot it.

Virtually every new barrel I touch will get worked with a light abrasive but it’s always a good idea to test it in its original form to establish a baseline. So for example, if the barrel turned out to be a real stinker, a polishing regimen is not going to be a magic cure. Something like a bad crown or leade or an irregular bore is another matter entirely.

Before you epoxy your carbon fiber onto the liner figure out your twist rate and label it either on the cf sleeve with a silver sharpie or onto your new M3 notebook you’re gonna keep on that gun

yes because next thing you know you will have multiples and not know which is which. Don't ask how I know this

I don't plan on epoxying my CF sleeve onto the barrel at this time. Will see how it shoots before going that route. Thanks for the advice if i do that in the future.
