FX Impact II / too high reg pressure?

greetings from south africa!

I was lucky enough to get impact mk2, as only small quantity were imported...

so excited and fill the bottle to play with, and found something strange...

I have .22 700mm version, factory regulator pressure setting seems a little high to me, 195 bar.

is this normal? or should I try reduce it?

You should reduce it to around 120 to 140 bar, immediately. That is way too high or your manometer is malfunctioning.

Yeah that sounds like a mistake, or whatever Customs process you go through may have seen people tinkering with it. Mine came a couple weeks ago set to 125 bar.

It won't be set like that from the factory. You have a bad gauge, a creeping reg or both. Does it return to 195 immediately after each shot? If so, it is probably the gauge. If it is creeping to that pressure, it's a wonder it will even fire. Perhaps you are confusing the bottle pressure with the regulated pressure?

ok so, remove the bottle and decrease the reg pressure to 110 and left it overnight.

just checked this morning, its still in 110 and goes back to 110 each time I shoot.

whew! I believe it's not a faulty one, probably a mistake from factory...

(which I don't expect from this price point)

I run my reg at 170 on the MKII in .22, wouldn't want to try 195 though!
