BLACK MAMBA: FX IMPACT "DETUNING" BenchRest 25y

As some one told me a few days ago Refering to Silver Surfer:
"You probably have one of the most powerful impacts in the world"https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/meet-silver-surfer/

And this weekend I will put it to the test hunting hogs, that will be my power impact for good!.

BUT! a few days ago I saw a MDubber video of the BenchRest world champions, in 25m air, and got me thinking, why those thomas airguns are so accurate in 25m?, can I do that with an impact? (my personal record on 25m is 241, and usually shoot in that range in 25m 235 - 241) might be my technic, or one of my impacts. But now I have a new goal, 246-250 points on 25y benchrest with the restrictions on LV and HV with an FX Impact (probably more on the HV side) ... thinking about 5mm VS, 15gram hammer, c3 oring D90 jaja original bumper!, and learn more about windflags and reading wind.

25y never really has been much appealing for me, but I am rethinking about it .. Any advice? tips? thanks in advance... I am a total ignorant in 25y

This will be the one I will try to make it a Champ ;)

BTW, just curious, why there is no 50y BRest event on air with the word champs? anyone knows?

Sounds like an interesting project. 240 is a pretty good score, you're already a very good shooter. Are you planning on going HV at 25 Meters? So you'll want to shoot .177. Most shoot the 10.3 JSB Heavy or the 13.4 JSB Monster. Not sure how the .177 pellet liner works for FX. I'd recommend getting the 500mm barrel setup. If you look at the Thomas guns, they all have short barrels.

Good question about the 50 yard competition. We'll have that next month at EBR, but most will be shooting Unlimited Class, high powered .22 and .177.

Great tips Mike, I am gathering info at the moment and yours is great!

USARB, has sanctioned “open” and “unlimited” classes shot at 50yds, read the rules and go for it!

Yes, I meant in the world Benchrest champs.

Nice shooting! How were the other two cards?

Hi CC!, thanks buddy! exactly the same, but with 49 in the third and 4rth rows!

Good score! HV-20ftlb? 500 or 600mm barrel? Pellet liner A or B or Slug? 13.4 jsb’s? just curious how you set it up, thinking setting up for our 50 & 75yd matches HV for 50 Open for 75yd...

As today I am out from LV and HV but heading that way, I was shooting jsb 18.2 @ 890fps, but the end goal is to be in the LV and HV standards ... I might need a 0.177 barrel. Pellet Liner A and totally stock impact. 700mm with a self made extension (the barrel is 600mm)- On 75m I use SilverSurfer (came second yesterday https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/meet-silver-surfer/page/3/#post-572859)

Nice shooting Eduardo, 25m is definitely a game of mm's.

Hi Buddy! thanks, you are totally right is a MM game, ultimate accuracy. I never look @ 25 as fun, now I do ... lot of people say is pretty easy...now I realize is not (been constantly on 245+ )

Looks like it was scored correctly except for possibly target #5 being a 9, not a 10. But in the USA and in International BR competition cards are scored inwards, not outwards.

Thanks, you save me some writing :D . I recovered that card from a big pile, so pellet holes are flatten and smaller. All holes are carefully measured by judges.

I see, you were shooting a .22 I will be shooting a .177! This is just an experiment of mine and another competitor? For our Regular 25m shoots we have RAW’s & Thomas rifles, we would shoot 20ftlb for 50 then up the velocity and pellet weight for 75yds “which are non sanctioned events” but draw quite a lot of shooters at my club!

Going that way ... will see if the impact is up to the job, so far it looks good! raw and thomas dominate 25y bench as today for sure!

Amazing scores! They are so good I thought they had to be indoors. You already are good enough to compete Internationally. I shoot 25M BR monthly in California and those scores would win most tournaments at most clubs in the USA. Congrats! When it gets windy those scores are almost impossible, so if you tell me it was windy that day I’ll be even more amazed... ;)

thanks man! I am really learning on 25m, read about other experiences is amazing and I really appreciate it! next year I plan to go to the big 3 RMAC, PC and EBR ... in november there is ANDES AIGUN CHALLENGE here in Chile, and will be an international competition with the RMAC format (will probably be my first big one, 4 days in a row)
