When the airgun is tilted up or down from horizontal, a "clunking" sound occurs in the general vicinity of where the bottle threads in, or slightly aft.

This happens whether it is cocked or not, with the bottle aired up and gun otherwise in working order. Only mod to gun is Huma reg set to 135b, and 700mm .30 cal barrel.

Never noticed this before. Is this normal?

Although it would come from a little aft of the area you describe, I'm thinking its your hammer/hammer spring and would then be normal if the spring tension isn't on the high side, and maybe even then... My impacts (gone now) and my wildcats do the same from the spring/hammer sliding from end to end.

JCD thank you !!

Just adjusted the power wheel from MIN back up to MAX, cocked the airgun and observed a much more abbreviated transition time between clunks when tilting, meaning your explanation explains what I'm hearing.
