FX IMPACT

AGN Hello friends, I have had the opportunity to have 3 impact, and I have learned a lot from them the two previous versions had some problems adjusting barrel O-rings etc.
now I have the latest version of impact and I am very Fx since worked on these problems that brought the previous version. I'm happy with the new silver and black color makes it look sexy. as to the accuracy I live in Patagonia where the wind is usually at least 30km and it really is a very cold extreme weather 5th still enjoy my Fx Impact.
I managed to perfectly regulate my impact with 2fps only difference as already published in the section of airguns cosigiendo groups 1/4 inches to 50 meters, and can turn targets 150 meters at a speed of 865fps with JSB 34gr.

with my .30 caliber I have managed to achieve a speed of 882fps setting the regulator to 152br this is very good. I hope they serve my comment greetings Patagonia Chile

The Impact has alot going for it: it is light, has a high shot count, has a super smooth action, the action is well placed so you can keep looking though the scope at a target and reload and has the ability to have multiple calibers on one receiver. And from an adjustability perspective pretty much everything is exposed so you don't need to take it apart to make changes. If you understand the adjustments then they are great for experimenting and dialing in a particular pellet. After you have that done, I don't think you are going to use them again. It's not like you can have it zero'd at 25 yards on power level 3 then say "I want to shoot a bird at 10 yards so I'm going to dial back to 1" or "I need full power for a coon at 50 so I'm going to dial up to Max". The point of Impact changes significantly with a change in power on the smooth twist barrels - both on the vertical and horizontal. And a barrel change to another caliber means rezeroing the scope too.

And they still aren't coming out of the box issue free at this point. I'm not going to repeat here what I've already posted about my experience with an Impact. I'm ending my Impact reviews and returning mine for a refund today.

To answer the original post, no it is not a step above and no if I could only have 1 PCP the Impact would not be my choice. The question to your answer really depends on what you want to use it for. If you want to have a quiet/low power .22 for popping a chipmunk of a rock in your back yard with neighbors close by then turn around the next day and put the 30 barrel on it , and re zero the scope to shoot a coon or ground hog at say 50 yards in a farmers field then the Impact can be fine. If you are looking for long range accuracy, I think you need to look elsewhere to a fixed barrel full size rifle. Yes, the Impact made a showing at the extreme bench rest, but if you look at the 100M results from the phoenix air gun club the month after EBR to up until last month, there isn't 1 Impact that I can find in the list. It's mostly FX Boss, RAW, and Daystate. There is probably a good reason for that. If you look at Matt as an example, even after he got his Impact he is using his Wolverine for long range bird shooting including his longest bird head shot.

I am curious to know how many Impact owners in the world right now and how many of them have problems unsolved.
I have only shot 600 pellets out of my .25 caliber Impact so far .
I shot at 50 yards 14 pellets in the same hole and 12 in one MOA at 100 yards.
This is my first pcp air rifle and I own only one.
I will use my Impact .25 for small game and bird hunting, target shooting and ling range 100 + target shooting.
I will use the .30 cal for coyote and turkey hunting and other mid size games.
First question you must ask yourself is.
What do I wish to do with the rifle I choose.

I'm 100% certain that it is not suitable for a beginner.

I solved my problems with many hours of work on this PCP...
You are able to hate and love at the same time in the same day.
despite all this, there is still the product more attractive port on the market, because of the heavy innovations that have applied to this CFP.

also it depends on the character of the person that want to buy.... if you're impulsive, forget it ....
if you are thoughtful and normally you think before you do ...(and read the manuals and forums) then can be an option!!!

Sharroff: You mention Matt to reflect one side of the coin, but fail to mention Ted on the other? He's still using his making shots on the regular 50 - 100 yards, and i think Matt said that his impact is still one of his favorite guns. Look i don't have one yet so my two cents is just thoughts, you have had one and gotten rid of one (bad apple, not right for you, who knows) but many people are happy and many more are still ordering them daily. No gun is going to please everyone, and some buys will have buyers remorse, but i'm sure most people will add it to there collections of favorite airguns.

I also don't have one but don't think this is the solve all people's wants Airgun. IMO if I'm gonna pay $1900 for an Airgun when I get it I think it should be ready to go just mount a scope and fill with air and your good to go. It seems very complicated with 3 different adjustments but I could be wrong about that. And then there's people needing to buy an aftermarket LDC for it and accuracy problems and scope mount issues. I know there's great ones out there and that's awesome but there shouldn't be the bad ones on a $1500+ air rifle. If I was new into the sport and got a crappy Impact after paying for a top dollar air rifle I would be turned off from the sport completely. That being said is there any solve all air rifles? No and there never will be I don't think.

Ginuwine1969.

I mentioned Matt only because his name was mentioned by the original poster. I don't follow Ted; his videos are the ones that convinced me to buy a gun that needed $1400 of repair work. Yes it was all covered under warranty, but it should not have been needed in the first place. I wonder about what some folks knew about the initial guns issues and didn't tell the general population.

dairyboy, what do you mean with "accuracy problems and scope mount issues"?
the first is only a problem wih o-rings, the second was a problem with first model 2015, that was solved....
the only probelems we see here in Europe are the adjustments....

many people cause damage to the product because they do not read the manual before using them ...
this product is terrific, but also very delicate.
adjustments should be made very carefully or....
