FX Impact 700mm Smooth Twist X barrels available!

Keyman what did you choose.25 or .30?
I ordered one here in Australia but it will be months.....
I ordered .30cal. Seems FX believe in the .30cal as that is what keeps popping up in the hands of there people. Matt ,Ernest the guys at Utah Airguns. All the early ones fx handed out where .30
I prefer .25 as a caliber but maybe it needs a different twist liner to shine with the Mk11 King Heavies.
May end up with both..
keep us posted on how it goes.

Guys, I`m no more angry about my new 600mm STX barrel for my Impact. (I ordered the 700 mm barrel and get the 600 mm ...).
Today I was first time shooting the STX (0.3 barrel) in 1-2 bft gusty wind conditions.
My experience for today: I think the 600 mm STX is my limite. I think I`m not able to shoot better with actual setup.
Perhaps when youre a professional benchrester you can squezze out 1 or 2 mm in perfect sunny no wind days, but for me its absolutely o.k. I shot 3 pellets to every target.
I`m happy with it :)
Attention to the H&N Barracuda 0.30 cal / 46.3 gr. They dont fit into the 0.3 cal FX Magazine !!! Ive to load it manual

As long as a barrel is good ( 2 "golden" barrels would be nicer tho eh? ) length has no effect on accuracy. In most - admittedly less adjustable than the impact your looking at 10-15fps per inch( sorry poor metric skills ). The only thing schoofsback missed out on is perhaps a touch more velocity/efficiency. A quality 10" barrel might use more air but should groupm as well at range.

Concerning the 700mm barrel and accuracy. With a fire arm a longer barrel is not necessarily more accurate than a shorter barrel of the same quality. Consider this though, Ernest at FX USA told me that the faster the velocity, and this is for the slug barrel not pellets, the tighter the groups got. You will get a higher velocity with a longer barrel so it follows that it should shoot more accurately in a PCP where it is harder to achieve the velocity needed to maximize the potential. If a 762 Millimeter Lothar Walther .25 barrel appeals to you for this reason, you can join in an AG Nation special order here: https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/lothar-walther-special-order-need-4-more-for-30-25-unchoked-and-551-o-d/

I'm currently awaiting my 600mm slug liner for my .22 Impact "X". I'm planning on trying to shoot Nielsen Boat tail slugs. Or ever Pile drivers. I'm thinking that they should have no issue going up in FPS to over 1000 fps. I want to keep them subsonic for noise sake.

I'm sure my Impact will have no problem getting them up to higher speeds. I have my valve adjustment just past the 2nd line and it is already shooting at 900 fps with 18.1 gr JSB.

I see no problem in getting the 28 gr. boat tail slugs up to 1000 fps. as the gun sit now. No need to adjust the regulator.

Utah Airguns told me the liners are still a few weeks out?
