Fx impact

Hi.

Last night I retest my impact with a good rest and adding water bobble. It was the most accurate gun that I have ever shoot. At 30 meters I could measure CTC but I guess it was under 4mm. I could see the pellet fly way because of flash light. I couldn't see any wobbling with naked eye.

But speed of first shoot is my major problem. Is there any one who had this experience?

My first shoot speed is about 40m/s under it's normal speed then by one to three shoots it reach it's normal speed.

You probably had a early model FX impact I heard those had a lot of problems I just bought me the new FX impact x and Im new to pcp but I had no problems with mine I like it a lot

As I remember 2014 was the first release and I had known they had some problem so I searched for newer version. 2014 impact had smaller hard case and gun most be disassembled to fit in. That 250 bar in cylinder and unscrew then screw it... after a while something will go wrong.

I think mine made late 2015 because it's tank made in 2015/05 (ship tank to Sweden+put it together + ship impact to market).

I know Impact X is better than impact. I hope you will enjoy it.

Final Update.

Summery: I bought used impact, first manometer shows 20bar higher, mag jammed, in first shot barrel o-ring failed, I changed all barrel O-rings, I had cleaned barrel several times, regulator seated at 140 bar and shoots JSB 18.13 up to 304, accuracy was terrible, I reduced speed to 260 and reduced regulator pressure to 115, I increased regulator pressure to 145. Finally group become very well.

I couldn't solve one final problem: First shoot speed was low up to 50m/s. I used dry lubricant in order to clean it's hammer which I suspected more but it didn't help me.

So new information: I emailed FX airguns and asked them if they had same problem. As some you suspected they're also suggested to check the regulator and pull it out. So I opened my tools box but something came to my mind. I set my regulator at 145 bar and under that pressure regulator is not working. So I packed and went to my garden. surprisingly until 90 bar first shoot still low speed. So that wasn't the regulator.

Then I checked barrel O-rings but they where fine. Then other thing came to my mind and I thought that's it. I suspect the mag which could deform the pellet skirt and some air loss because of this deformation. So I put a pellet in and wait for an hour but every thing was fine, chronograph showed that too.

So I disassembled it. that ****ing 1mm hex screw take a day until I found 0.9mm hex. So the important thing was the hammer that worked fluently but "B23" O-ring was the problem. I used silicon grease and valve shaft (the shaft that valve and hammer and other parts attached to it) moved smoothly.

I thought that's it and started to reassemble it until I found "B14" thread part isn't machined well and one of the "B5" bolt that hold "B16" failed and they used lock tight in order to keep it in place. I used teflon and closed it. Then I found I had tighted "B19" and I had to fix it. everything was fine until other thread for 'B16" part failed.

I tried some way but finally I bought 15*3 bolt instead of "B15" and 12*3 and 10*3 bolt instead of "B5" (12 mm for "B16 and B17"). longer bolt= less thread failure.

At last chronograph shows that my first pellet speed is 5m/s lower than it's normal speed and the problem solved.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I reduced regulator pressure to 100 bar which in my exam I found my pellet accelerate more than any other pressure. Now my impact shoots sovereign 15.89 at 279m/s with fully opened hammer spring very nice.
