Fx impact .22 data and settings ?

When I got my Impact it was a it of an underachiever, so I sent it back to AoA to work on it. Sadly, I have no idea what they did, but it had more power when it returned. The top portion shows various regulator and power settings for JSB 18.1 pellets as originally received. The bottom shows some valve setting velocities with various pellets, all at the regulator setting AoA set it to, which is 145 indicated. The valve is full out in all cases.

Cheers,
Rusty

I shoot at 65 to 75 yards into trees so I tuned mine to have the lowest ES as possible with fps still strong enough to stabilize the jsb 18 grain pellet. Took me a good 3 hours with multiple settings.
This is the best I have set so far:
Reg I left set from the factory for 30 caliber at 149. My VS is set to the second bar (picture below) and
Power wheel set to 1.
I'm averaging 874 fps and my ES most days is in the single digits.

Every gun is different but here are my settings I'm using right now. I'm hitting small sparrows in trees in 20 degree angles lights out repeatedly with confidence. Hope all this helps. Best advice I got when I started dialing in my impact was 1. Get a chronograph and 2. Buy lots of lead. I love this thing!
Again hoe all this can help you but I echo the need for a chronograph and some fun time dedicated to getting it the way You want to use it.

"dommorris92"Interesting .. how many shots are you getting on the setting your using with the valve open full ?
I haven't run a full chrono string on it since AoA worked on it, but at full power now I'd bet I'm only getting 70-80 shots, compared to the 110-120 I was getting on max before. Of course that makes sense due to the extra power on max now. FWIW, after all that, I find that accuracy is best at power settings of 1 or 2, so all I gained from sending it back to AoA is more potential power available. I have to imagine I'll get as many shots on 1-2 setting now as I did on max before.

"SWEJaeger""I find that accuracy is best at power settings of 1 or 2,"

So that means 871-890fps with 18,13grain

I have found that most people has the best accuracy with cal22 at 830-850 fps.

What are your groupings now with 871- I really think depends on where your hammer spring is adjusted at there is a measurement per caliber so each gun is different to that. so if your on the top side of adjustment yours might shoot high 800 with 18 jsb just a crap shoot to your measurements on the hammer spring adjuster mine was 870 on max power then it backed out. turned it in and on power 4 I was at 890 to 880 but was not as good on air lust my 2 cents

Just a suggestion. I know each barrel is different but with my gun best accuracy is about 915. I did find good accuracy below 900fps and as I increased velocity initially lost accuracy. But then at 915 it came back even better. So do experiment above 900fps if you haven't already.
This is also the velocity recommended here.

I think there is a "rough"patch in between our 2 sweet spots and as I did initially you stop searching once
you hit the first sweet spot.
If you haven't ventured above 900 give it a go.
